“My husband and I decided to get a home loan from NEFCU from the recommendation of a friend who has been an NEFCU member for years, and we are so glad we did! Given that we were looking to find a home that had both a living and work space for an artist was no easy task, so we knew that more than likely we would need to do some renovation. NEFCU had the perfect loan that allowed us to include a renovation with the mortgage, which was perfect. The entire team, Sara Wright, Kelly Kayhart, and Danielle Laware walked us through the process and paperwork, explaining in detail and providing documentation on what was happening in each step, what was required of us and what NEFCU was doing, and handled each of our many, many questions with such patience and professionalism. The difference in our experience with NEFCU was that they each took the time for us and made us truly feel like we were their only customer. Buying a house out of state is a challenge, and after our first disastrous housing purchase with an unscrupulous lender during the crazy market of 2006 left us very apprehensive about buying again, and going through this process of buying a house in a new state and starting a new chapter in our lives was an emotional experience, but we could not have asked for more from the NEFCU team as they helped us navigate the buying process.
