The Martha Washington Inn & Spa is a beautiful and historic property with magnificent, lovely grounds that transport visitors back in time. The rooms are lovely, and the service, cleanliness, and overall ambiance are top of the line, creating a very romantic setting. The hotel features a magnificent parlor and lobby, a sister restaurant on the premises, and is a gorgeous space for a wedding. Its location is excellent, situated in a great little town with very walkable, neat, and interesting historic areas. Nearby activities include the Barter Theatre across the street, along with lots of nice little eateries and eclectic shops. It is considered a must-visit in Abingdon.
Beautiful place. Great amenities. But he staff was the stand out memory of visiting this historic hotel. The go over the top to make sure everything was perfect and special.
