“Recently came to Abingdon for the Dam Yeti ultra trail race. I was fortunate enough to stay at the Gather Inn. The host Donna was very nice. The house was beautiful and my room was very comfortable. The location was perfect. Easy 3 min walk to the Virginia Creeper Trail and close proximity to many other places along Main St. I will definitely be returning. Thank you Donna!”
“My husband and I have just returned home after visiting The Martha for Valentines weekend and we LOVED every minute of our visit!! We attended the Valentines High Tea and it was EXCEPTIONAL from the service to the food to the piano playing. We had dinner at Sisters which was one of the best experiences we have ever had the food and service was phenomenal and Breakfast each morning was outstanding! We honestly cannot say enough good things about The Martha. The staff were fantastic as were the most amazing people we had the pleasure of meeting during our visit. Our room was beyond elegant and just beautiful. We loved the history of the place it really makes you feel like you are stepping back in time to the 18th Century. We are already planning a trip back !!”

“Wasn't too busy, so had plenty of parking space for the 26' uhaul with car hauler. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free breakfast was better than expected with eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy!”
“My family had a great stay everything was clean,well maintained, and staff was friendly. My only minor complaint would be how dry the biscuits are for breakfast both mornings. Other then thatnminor thing everything was excellent!”
“This little motel is a best kept secret in a quiet beautiful location. Amazing views of country and mountains. Danny the office manager was friendly and helpful when we visited the first time and when we returned he thanked us for coming back! Fresh Coffee available in the office every morning so no need for coffee machine in rooms. The room was clean and orderly and well set up. Restaurants were close-by and it’s right off I-81. Check this gem out!”
