Goodwill of Greater Washington Retail Store is a local nonprofit organization that transforms lives through the power of education and employment. The store offers a wide selection of affordable items, including clothing, books, furniture, electronics, and household essentials. Shopping at Goodwill not only provides great value but also helps to fund the organization's mission of providing free job training, education, and employment services for people with disabilities, disadvantages, or other barriers to employment. Customers generally have a positive experience at the store, with the selection and organization being praised. However, some have expressed concerns about the store's pricing practices, with one customer mentioning that an employee pressured them to round up their total, even when the amount was not a small fraction. Another customer found the prices on some items, such as t-shirts, to be too high compared to other Goodwill locations. There have also been reports of some employees and customers appearing to be more focused on socializing than working or shopping, which has led to longer wait times for price checks and other assistance. Despite these occasional issues, the store is generally considered a good place to find quality items at reasonable prices, and the organization's mission of supporting job training and employment services is widely appreciated by the community.
Its hit or miss like any goodwill… new stuff is coming out all day.. just be sure to look at the item completely before buying it - only clothes you can return for a store credit within 7 days. And as most goodwills, 50% of items id say have flaws”
