“My friend and I brought a cat that had been abandoned, distressed, and not claimed by anyone in the neighborhood. We had such a pleasant experience with the staff and knew she would be in good care to find her forever home. When we have found other abandoned animals, we have not had the same experience in other jurisdiction with shelters so it’s great to see that the city is committed to taking care of abandoned animals.”

“The associates at this store have gone above and beyond for me. I lost my wallet at the store and they helped me look and took my name/number. I was assuming all hope was lost but the next day they called and found my wallet! I’m so grateful for all the associates here who put so much care into their job and customers.
On a store note, it’s a great selection and feels cheaper than other Goodwills in the DMV area I’ve been to. I found two great pairs of jeans — one 100% cotton which is hard to come by these days — and a few dishes.”

“During the worst of covid they provided food every other weekend almost. Now it's just once a month but each time we get chicken eggs bread fresh vegetables (this time it was a huge bag of onions and 10 lb of carrots) along with rice, beans, pancake mix, and canned food. And the army of volunteers are fantastic. I go to the Nova site and it's well run.”

“Love the 4 land swimming pool and facilities. Staff have a super nice see Ms Gail she is super knowledgeable and professional. Pool has lockers with locks, towels and plastic bag for wet items along with kick boards and floaties. Highly recommend.”
“Best no-kill cat rescue in the DMV, run entirely by volunteers.❤️ I learned about this rescue through a neighbor I cat sit for, who adopted two bonded adult calicos here -- cats who weren’t siblings but bonded together in the cattery! It's truly a place that gives vulnerable kitties another chance, and I’m deeply grateful it exists.”

Steve is an excellent, dedicated, and very well informed speaker who carefully prepares each class to share not only the fundamentals of the exam but also key knowledge of the U.S. history and law that enable immigrants to better understand and contribute to society.”

“Though I haven't shopped at Upcycke yet, I have volunteered there a bit, and I love their system. The re-use mindset is huge, and I love helping them sort through donations! The wat they price things-at least from the last time I was there-where you pay through bags. Like, you purchase a certain size bag and whatever you fit in there is under that price. I'm definitely going there when I need materials for another project!”
