“My friend and I brought a cat that had been abandoned, distressed, and not claimed by anyone in the neighborhood. We had such a pleasant experience with the staff and knew she would be in good care to find her forever home. When we have found other abandoned animals, we have not had the same experience in other jurisdiction with shelters so it’s great to see that the city is committed to taking care of abandoned animals.”

“This is one of the more compact goodwills I have been to in the area. The parking lot for this location is small but with plenty of parking. Once inside the store, you will find a large selection of women's and men's clothes and shoes along with an ample house wears section. It has very small children's clothes, toys, and even smaller books sections. Like other goodwills in the area prices are fair. I would prioritize coming here if looking for clothing our housewares.”
“Together We Bake never ceases to amaze me when it comes to quality, quantity, and taste. One thing I can say about TWB: I have personally been in the building, worked in the kitchen, and had my eyes on every aspect of their process including baking, packaging, and cleaning. With all of the talk on bad food, bad ingredients, unhealthy ingredients, and poor/dirty kitchen conditions, this place gets an A + +. The ladies are sweet, passionate about what they do and their message, and they all have their Serve Safe Certificates. When I purchase cookies or Granola I am confident of where the ingredients are coming from, and who is packaging my items. This isn’t”t to prop the business up, these are FACTS.”

Now it's just once a month but each time we get chicken eggs bread fresh vegetables (this time it was a huge bag of onions and 10 lb of carrots) along with rice, beans, pancake mix, and canned food. “Best no-kill cat rescue in the DMV, run entirely by volunteers.❤️ I learned about this rescue through a neighbor I cat sit for, who adopted two bonded adult calicos here -- cats who weren’t siblings but bonded together in the cattery! It's truly a place that gives vulnerable kitties another chance, and I’m deeply grateful it exists.”
“I had to drive to Fairfax to pick up an item on FB marketplace place. on the way home I did a search for thrift shops in the area and this was one of the few places on my way home. Typically I don’t shop at goodwill because I don’t find their prices and items to be of much value but I decided to stop and check it out. I’m glad I did. I found a great 5 person tent in good condition for $12.99. The furniture was also nice and fairly priced, I found the clothes to also be fairly priced, at other thrifts it’s not uncommon now to find jeans priced at $14-16 which is what I pay for new jeans at Ross. If you’re in the area it’s certainly worth a look 👀!”

“I took the Citizenship class offered as part of the New Neighbors program and truly appreciate all the effort that the Campagna Center and Steve Jones have made to help immigrants prepare the path for naturalization. Steve is an excellent, dedicated, and very well informed speaker who carefully prepares each class to share not only the fundamentals of the exam but also key knowledge of the U.S. history and law that enable immigrants to better understand and contribute to society.”

The wat they price things-at least from the last time I was there-where you pay through bags. Like, you purchase a certain size bag and whatever you fit in there is under that price. I'm definitely going there when I need materials for another project!”
