890 Burley Hollow Rd, AmherstAs someone who's worked in canine behavior and training for years, finding a place I will entrust with my dogs is no easy feat. Now that I've found Shady Mountain I may never leave Virginia. Miriam is the real deal. Besides l the numerous books she's published on dog behavior and training the facility is perfect. It's set up impeccably, has appropriately strict health screening for entry and the services on site are too notch. I left my dogs for their first stay and walked away with ease and comfort knowing they are in the best of hands. It's worth every penny and then some.

922 Richmond Hwy, AmherstI moved to the area 8 yrs ago. And have passed by as thousand times. Always said I was going to stop by one day. Well today was the day. I feel like I cheated myself out of a wonderful place to eat for so many years. We even got the best strawberry shortcake I have ever had for a Valentine's treat. I can't wait to go back. I think I will have breakfast next. ❤️ Best service ever
