Whenever I'm up in the Northern Virginia area near the five-sided building with five rings and need to stock up on supplies, I find that the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Commissary is quite a bit more affordable than the local Harris Teeter. While it may not be as massive as some of the larger commissaries around the country, it's certainly not small either, and it's very well stocked across the board with most of the groceries and household items you might need. On this particular visit, I picked up a few essentials along with some grapes and a little cheese. I also made a stop by the hot bar, where I grabbed some rib pieces and barbecue wings. Everything was fresh, and it made for a great meal to enjoy outside on a beautiful day with the weather cooperating perfectly. One of the things I appreciate most about this commissary is how easy it is to get in, find what you need, and get back on your way. The selection is solid, the prices are competitive, and the store is generally well maintained. Whether you're doing a full grocery run or just grabbing a few items, it gets the job done without any hassle. If you're in the military, eligible to shop there, and happen to be in the area, it's definitely worth stopping by when you need groceries. “Aldi has excellent prices and an eclectic assortment of fresh produce, non-perishables, and a rotating seasonally representative section as well. Right now (mid September) the season is pumpkin spice/ Halloween. I regularly buy organic shredded Mexican cheese and dried Fuji apples here. Today I also needed a jar of Duke's mayo. Canned goods and baking ingredients are available, as are meat and deli items. Don't forget a quarter for your shopping cart, which comes back to you at cart return. Shopping here during the day is less busy than evenings and weekends, and parking is correspondingly easier. The store is not fancy, because the focus is on providing value, which it does well. It took me ten minutes to walk through the store today, view the various offerings, make my selections, and check out at self-checkout. Full service lines are also available, as is online shopping. You could use Aldi to augment your grocery shopping, or even to do the majority of your shopping. It's much more bare bones/ quasi warehouse experience than at a standard grocery store, but that's what allows the company to keep prices low. Give it a try and see if it works for you.”

When we attempted to return it, the manager, along with other staff members, displayed rude and unprofessional behavior. They declined responsibility, stating that the issue occurred outside the store and was therefore not their concern. However, it was the exceptional assistance of the counter lady that salvaged the situation. Her efficient and customer-oriented service stood in stark contrast to the manager's dismissive attitude. It was only due to her intervention that the problem was eventually resolved. The conduct of the manager and some of your staff members were unfair. The role of a manager should be centered on conflict resolution and customer satisfaction, not dismissive behavior that drives customers away. I hope this feedback prompts a reevaluation of the store's customer service policies and staff training, as this incident reflects poorly on the store's reputation and has resulted in the loss of a loyal customer.My review is for improvement for betterment.”
