I am not sure if I should mention names but Mrs. AH was very helpful and even when things did not go right, she called someone (Sorry, I forgot her name), who showed up in a matter of seconds to help. While things did not go as quickly as I expected, no one was slow and worked as quickly as they could to help me with my transaction. All smiles walking in and walking out of this branch. Really a great experience. Keep up the great work.”

“My wife has been trying to get me to switch from Truist since BB&T and SunTrust merged. I had been with SunTrust for years. I was reluctant at first but I'm glad I did. The staff at Bank of The James is amazing. I was able to set up my new checking and savings with ease. I enjoy it when I have to go into the branch. The decisions they make are local and not made elsewhere in another state. That is important. I prefer to keep what little money I have locally than elsewhere.”
