“I needed to get a cashiers check on the Martin Luther King holiday so I went to Walmart, to purchase it, and was pleasantly surprised to find Woodforest National Bank, operating inside of Walmart, was open and apparently is opened for nearly all national holidays. I was able to get the check I needed and beyond that I met a very professional and knowledgeable individual, Ms. Vitt - Retail Banker, she said it would probably be a great idea for me to open an account with Woodforest. Ironically, I had already established a banking relationship, but was not happy with my choice in that they charge fees for checking your balance at ‘their’ ATMs for customers of their bank. In addition to the check I needed, I opened a checking account and will be opening a savings account while also obtaining their credit card. Having been in the banking and insurance industries for 35 years and now retired, it was one of the BEST experiences that I had had in a very, very long time! If you shop at the Walmart on Old Forest Road, do yourself a favor and stop in to Woodforest National Bank and ask for Ms. Vitt! I can assure you that it will be worth your time. I did not even remotely think about opening an account today, but you’ll do the same.”

“Absolutely love this bank (& this branch).I’ve been with 1st National for a few years now after urging from family members & friends. I was previously with a local credit union (for YEARS) & had become dissatisfied with them.While I mainly use the Timberlake Branch and they all know me now lol they were just as friendly when I first started going there. Laci, Lucia, Danielle, Cherina &Sabrina are all TOP notch!!!I might add that I've used several other branches from time to time (Airport Branch/Wards Rd, Odd Fellows, Graves Mill/221, Forest Rd near JF) and EVERY SINGLE time the employees have been amazing.I would definitely recommend this bank to anyone looking for a one.”

“I had the most amazing help over the phone today with, I think her name was Alesha? I had trouble hearing her over my car speaker so I hope I’m remembering her name correctly. Anyways, as a lower elementary school teacher, I am constantly overstimulated and constantly having to maintain so much patience- also, as someone who is used to having to repeat myself multiple times, I am an over explainer, and sometimes I feel customer service workers lose patience with me. I always wish/hope someone will have the same level of patience with me that I exude every day in my own job- today I felt extremely respected and helped by her! I even told her at the end of the call how helpful she was. I’m sure she was overwhelmed with the level of calls and customers she was receiving, but that did not waver her patience and kindness! She should get a raise, she was amazing! It is extremely difficult to handle customers all day long AND maintain a positive attitude- she was incredible!”
