“The Cheesesteak champ is here!!!! All I can say is that my expectations we're completely blown away. Let's start with the quality of beef, and that was top-notch, I should have expected it as it operates as a butchery shop. The combination of cheese whiz, seasonings, and a bit of mayo that was cooked all together created on amazing cheesesteak. Lastly, the bread that was the vessel for this amazing creation was perfectly crispy, a soft roll that I truly was not expecting here in Maryland. If you like cheesesteaks, do yourself a favor and check them out. The fries were cooked in beef tallow and were perfect, but the star is the steak sub!”

“Very nice market with a great selection of what seems like very fresh and high quality items. Very friendly and helpful service as well. I would just say that the prices seem very high, i.e. $15/lb for roasted brussels sprouts and $13/lb for roasted mushrooms, presumably due to being in an expensive area with higher rent. The roasted veggies did taste very good though, definitely a step above what you'd find at your average deli. Nice place to stop by if you are nearby and are okay paying a bit more but probably not worth going out of your way for.”

“I have purchased A5 wagyu beef from Union Meat Company three times in the past year. Everyone is very helpful -- they ask questions about when I plan to cook it and if it's not immediately, they will vacuum seal the cuts for me. A5 isn't cheap, but the prices here are fair. I'm thankful that they always have it in stock and are attentive and helpful!”

This time I went with the roast beef sandwich, it is a fairly classic roast beef sandwich but the flavors are bold. “I've ordered a ham for a friendsgiving dinner for the last three years and it's clockwork. I have not eaten or ordered food for the same day. Parking at this location can be pretty limited. Store is clean and has always been quick and my pickup smooth. Service is, all business, when I've been in, no smiles or jokes, get in and get out but they are efficient.”

While all the Honey Baked Ham with quality food, this location stands out more because its service!Long story short, I got off late from work and realized that I still need to get a ham for my office potluck next day. With all the last moment stress plus the crazy NOVA traffic, I thought I would fail my ham mission. Christina’s welcome and caring customer service over the phone and in-person was top of notch! Sandwiches are invariably well-made and delicious. We’ve also appreciated Wagshal’s holiday meal plates for 2-4 people. Deliveries are reliable.I’m sad to say that, as of late 2023, Wagshal’s prices for many holiday meats, side dishes and baked goods have grown stratospheric. That is leading me to shop more establishments and purchase from Wagshal’s less frequently. It’s unfortunate if Wagshal’s pricing is discouraging purchases by the loyal customers who built its success over the years.”
