“Staff were friendly and helpful when I asked where soda water was located. Cashier packed my bag for me and made sure I wasn't walking to not overload my grocery bags.”

“A Bangladeshi grocery. A Bengali myself ( coming from Kolkata, India) was excited to find many niche products, which is difficult to find in usual Indian groceries. However, did not find anything significant- other than various fishes, meat, and frozen food to try. I got some Bengali style sweets ( gurer Sandesh) and they were really good. You can find some fresh vegetables too. However, it’s worth visiting only for good quality meat and typical Bengali fresh water fishes. Don’t expect any great shopping experience, as their space is small and crammed, and quite smelly ( I guess coming from large amount of meat business)!”
“This is my favorite spot for fresh and flavorful chicken, offered at a reasonable price. I've been a loyal customer for the past eight years, and every experience has been exceptional.”
“Really good selection of items! From fresh produce to personal care, coffee, medicine and groceries, snacks, they have it all! Basically everything you find at target or giant but with the convenience of not having to drive to the grocery store, I am so happy they opened up here, super convenient for us to grab everything we need from a walking distance. Reasonable prices :)”
“What a find. Next door to Safelite Glass and Taylor on Washington Blvd. Reside in Ballston and looking for a mini market to pick up some beer, wine & sodas. Huge selection for beer, easy to walk too. Very close to home. Parking in the driveway. This will be our new go-to place for a quick run to the store. Friendly too. Check it out. I think we all have driven by here without a thought about going in but we should. Shop local.”

“Great selection of South Asian foodstuffs. I got some liver too. The gentleman at the register was very kind to my rowdy kids. That meant a lot to them and they asked to go back to this store in particular. Found some frozen okra (different varieties), Naan, sucuk, and many other ethnic fares”
“Love this little spot. The hot food is all so good - I love their pupusas, and I also frequently get their tamales. They also have a surprising number of grocery items for such a small shop! Prices for grocery are high to be expected for a small shop (though they have some items that are hard to find in this area), but their hot food bar is VERY reasonably priced.”

“My dog needs to take a very high dosage of a controlled substance daily. The pharmacist has been incredibly helpful in navigating the complicated process of refills that involves working closely with the vet to meet all regulatory requirements. I cannot say enough good things about him!”
“Love the variety of beans and grains they offer. Motivated me to get a coffee grinder so I can have some fresh ground coffee to staff my day! Staff was super helpful and really kind. A little store with a lot of hidden treasures.”
“I wanted to write a review about the Florist and the department. Thank you for creating a wonderful arrangement. It was very much appreciated by my coworkers. Everyone commented on how lovely they were.”
“I love this local spot. Someone called it the “Social Safeway” and honestly, they nailed it — you can’t grab a bag of chips without running into someone you know. The produce is fresh, the vibes are friendly, and the self-checkout only mildly judges you. Prices can be sneaky unless you summon the power of the Safeway app.
Rating: 5 shopping carts out of 5 ????”
“Best bread in NoVa.I’ve been buying their bread for over a decade and no bread can compare. Their tortillas are my favorite along with their cuernitos :)The empanadas de queso are delicious too! You cannot find them anywhere else.”
“Been going here for over a year now. Have never had a bad experience; the prices are cheap and they’re always friendly and hard working. Very, very convenient as well.”
“Absolutely wild that people cannot seek to figure out the point of this SMALLER Whole Foods. Yes it’s obviously smaller. It’s a quick on the go market. It’s got most of what you need to throw a quick meal together. It’s got healthy options, organic produce etc. It’s a great location if you live in the area. If you’re driving 20 mins in then just go to the full size store down the street. This store is for anyone but locals and people who work in the corporate offices surrounding it will fare better. The hot food options are basically just pizza which they did because the main stores sell a lot of it. It’s got pre made meals that you can just toss in the microwave. It’s got alcohol. It’s got health foods. It’s got an Amazon return thing. It exists for you to just pop in to grab some stuff. Not sure why it’s confusing. Obviously they have so much business at their big store down the street that they could open a smaller one”

“This is a pretty alright Safeway. It’s small but it’s great for picking up last minute groceries, or that one ingredient you need for a recipe that you just realized you don’t have, or one of those obscenely large sandwiches. They might not always have what I’m looking for but there have been many times They’ve had that 1 thing I needed.”
“Obviously expensive but well located and well staffed. I always have great experiences with the people there. The food quality is uncompromising and well curated, however you may not find any large/known brands (which can be a good thing).”

“Absolutely love this place and that I can just walk over to it in just a few minutes! They have all the things I could want for last minute plans :) and it's clean and smells nice.”
“Giant has an excellent pharmacy! The technicians and pharmacists are caring and have a great customer service attitude! I came here from Harris Teeter who always used to mess up and incorrectly get my prescriptions denied by insurance. Giant has never messed up my prescriptions and they have longer hours!!! Cameron in my go-to pharmacy technician and he is top notch! He is accurate, detail oriented and explains how to use medications. He is patient and is always available to answer questions about medications or insurance. Cameron recognizes his customers and inspires confidence and trust in his abilities!”
“Located conveniently in Riverplace apartment complex, a mini grocery store. I came here 5 years ago to look and wow the selection has improved greatly, the pricing is fair, and you can get fresh produce. 2 spots for parking right in front of the store, great choices for everything you need for a quick pick-up. Ice cream, snacks, food, utensils, produce, drinks and more. Check out their specials!”

“This is my neighborhood Giant and I like that I can talk there. Their selection is decent and I think the prices are fair. My biggest annoyances are that they closed the entrance closes to Columbia Pike meaning that walkers needs to walk further. Additionally, the self-checkout treats you very suspiciously as if you are definitely trying to shoplift. I avoid it as much as possible and only use it when the lines for the scarce in-person check-outs are not available.”
“(Translated by Google) They always take good care of me, and I often use the money gram service.(Original)Siempre me atienden bien,y uso seguido el servicio de money gram.”
“They have made such nice improvements to this Safeway in the last few years, including self check-out and giving it a general facelift. I really like this grocery store even though it's on the smaller side. The produce, in particular, has a better selection than a lot of other places nearby!”
“Local institution doing wine, cheese and beer justice. Fair warning - never been able to visit without spending money. Pro tip - if you see them, grab a baguette and look through the left over cuts of cheese to try something amazing.”
