“This Trader Joe's is cool and nice as all of them, but it could be very crowded after office hours. It is pretty tiny inside and it is a real issue especially when most of the people decide to use shipping carts.Underground parking is pretty tight and I adore truck drivers who manage to park there!A better time to visit the store is 11 AM when it is less busy.”

“Love this little spot. The hot food is all so good - I love their pupusas, and I also frequently get their tamales. They also have a surprising number of grocery items for such a small shop! Prices for grocery are high to be expected for a small shop (though they have some items that are hard to find in this area), but their hot food bar is VERY reasonably priced.”

“I was having an issue with my keg coupler and they were super helpful even though I hadn't gotten my keg from them. I checked out the keg list and the prices were decent. Needless to say I'll be buying my kegs from them in the future.”

“A big THANK YOU to everyone at Arrowine for a seamless online holiday ordering experience. And special thanks to Mr. Hassen for helping me choose some excellent wines this morning for a dinner party (and as an aside, kudos for his deft handling of a rather unprofessional customer). Five stars for quality and service.”

“I always buy wheat grass from Mom's Organic market. Some of the potential health benefits of drinking wheatgrass juice include boosting the immune system, detoxifying the body, improving digestion, reducing oxidative stress, and supporting weight loss. Wheatgrass juice is rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can help strengthen your immune system and protect against illnesses. It is also known for its detoxifying properties, as it can help remove toxins from the body and support liver function. By improving digestion, wheatgrass juice can aid in better nutrient absorption and relieve symptoms of indigestion. Its high antioxidant content can reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the body, which may contribute to chronic diseases. Furthermore, wheatgrass juice is low in calories and can help curb cravings, making it a good addition to a weight loss diet.”

He helped me many time picking my favorite items and ordered them for me. I would recommend it as it is a neighborhood small business that deserves to survive.”

“If you spend a fortune on dried beans from Rancho Gordo, try the black or small red beans from Glebe Market. Freshest beans I’ve every cooked. Also excellent produce and herbs, and they usually have pork belly”

“Prospect Market has good variety of food, medicine, snacks, and household items (even unique items like vases and decor). I'm surprised to see an extremely negative review for this market, as the owners are very friendly and the market is far cleaner/organized than Fort Meyer market across the street. They do have expired items for sale, but they're always very discounted and their main inventory is up to date. The only downside I would point out is that there is a $10 minimum for all card purchases, but otherwise a nice convenience store for the neighborhood.”

“A decent Safeway that's a little cramped, but generally had enough parking spaces and employees who care. Much better than the horrible Safeway on Old Dominion Drive.”

“A good fuel station with nice staff. It appears to be a hangout late nights for local lottery enthusiasts which is odd. The mart is relatively clean and well stocked.”

“Busy location, but the selection of hot food items/salad bar is always great. I like how it has a second floor to eat a small bite, if you want, while enjoying an open view of shoppers down below. There is also a wine/coffee bar on the second floor.”

“The young man who runs (owns?) Is the most delightful, helpful, nice person you would ever want to deal with. If you come for a product he doesn't have, he will ask if you buy it often and offer to stock it. If you are short one penny in your payment, he wave it aside and say to bring it next time. He is always upbeat and friendly. I am sorry that I don't shop there more often, because he seriously deserves the support of this community. And I resolve to change that. By the way, he stocks a lot of nice wines which is always great to know about!”

“I shop at this Safeway all the time, as I have since 1997. I like their produce section (consistently fresher and more extensive than Harris Teeter, not to mention MUCH less expensive). Staff members are friendly and helpful, managers are prompt to correct problems, and I like their meat selection too. I haven't had any problems with expired foods; nice bakery, deli and cheese selections. I'm not a Starbucks fan but they have a small coffee bar here. Not as big as HT perhaps but in addition to all the good qualities I've mentioned, the parking is ample here!”
