“My daughter did a tour of Randolph Macon recently. We loved the atmosphere, everyone is so nice and friendly. The bookstore has something for everyone in there. From window decals, clothes, cups, glasses, doggie attire, and so much more! Highly recommend taking a tour and seeing how beautiful, clean, safe, comfortable feeling, so much support for students, etc. My daughter loved it!!”

“The Gleneagles location is not as cozy and funky as the old Book People on Granite. On the other hand, the shop is a lot better organized,larger, and neater. There are still a mix of old and new titles and the staff continue the tradition of high touch service. The shelves are tidy and organized by genre. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and will help get you in touch with the exact book that you want. Do not hesitate to ask them to order what they don't have in the store. Particularly impressive is the extensive event programming, bringing in a variety of authors, critics, and commentators for lively discussions. The store is a strong advocate for the right to read and is protective of the wide variety of people in our community. I just wish they had relocated closer to the original shop to make it easier for me to visit more frequently.”

This store is a two-level layout with a dramatic feel, featuring escalators leading up to a mezzanine level where the café is located. The open design makes the whole space feel larger and more like a full bookstore experience rather than a simple retail stop.

The selection is excellent across genres, and it’s easy to spend time exploring different sections. The upper-level café adds a nice place to sit and relax with a drink while browsing.

Parking is convenient, and the store is easy to access within the shopping area. The staff has always been helpful and friendly, keeping the experience smooth even when it’s busy.

Overall it’s a flagship-style Barnes & Noble with a great layout, strong selection, and a lively atmosphere to enjoy.”

“It was pretty cool seeing all the toys, I ended up getting a brain puzzle for me and a squishy blobfish for my sister and a hand buzzer for my brother. I really liked that place”

“Low budget book, media, and games store with lots of inventory of reruns and second-hand items. I picked up 3 cds and paid only $10. (One cd was only $1.50). There are some items sprinkled in at $20 or more, presumably more in demand. You might find your gem among the stacks.”
