“The store was quite cleanly and the staff was very friendly however, I wish the sizes in all different departments were either put together or styles of the same sort we're together.”
“I cannot say enough about how great this business is. I needed to get rid of a part of a sectional couch so I could fit my new one sofa in. Called all thrift stores in town and all of them refused to pick it up despite me paying them over $50 to do the job. They also discriminated based on my couch being a part of a sectional, not being from a pet free home etc. I called New Line and they picked it up on the exact date and time I needed the couch gone. They charged me $60 but saved me from a great ordeal. God bless them!”
“went here for the first time today and found some awesome things! i love that they sell local art and support local artists. the person who rang me up was so welcoming and warm, will definitely be back!!”
“Great selection! Had some great items for the garden, reposed and vintage. Prices were phenomenal. Great for anyone with a new place or looking to add something special.”
“The cashiers are really sweet and they have a great selection of items from clothes to home goods. However, some of the home goods are a bit pricier than I would expect”
“This is my favorite thrift store in RVA! Great selection, fair prices, kind employees, and a wonderful mission. I stopped by the other day and the owner was incredibly friendly. All long-sleeve shirts were $2 which is a fantastic price and some items were even 50% off. This place is truly a gem and I hope it sticks around for many years. Wishing the owner and this store many years of good luck. Will be back soon!”
“This thrift store is super clean and organized. Great prices. Friendly staff. Always seems to have a sale on clothes and shoes. Despite what Google maps may say, open the first and third Saturday every month!”
“I love Uptown Cheapskate Short Pump! They always have just what I’m looking for. My new favorite way to shop. The staff is always exceptionally friendly, kind, helpful, and patient. They consistently make every visit a positive experience.”
“Stopped in from out of town. My family recommended this store and, I love a thrift store for a good cause. Christian based, they sell clothes, books, toys, furniture, jewelry and so much more. Happy to note that each book was $1. Hardcover books are $3.”
“A delightful place ... So glad to have discovered it. We could have stayed for hours as there were so many wonderfully eclectic items tucked into corners and on shelves, very nicely displayed. Loved the jewelry especially.
Kudos to all who serve and volunteer here.”

“I'm a big fan of this store - I go here a few times a month. You can definitely find some gems. Prices are a little high, and sometimes I wonder if they are trying to match online prices. I would probably spend twice as much if they lowered them a bit! I'd recommend lowering prices on books, dvds and cds especially. But I am a loyal customer either way and can easily spend over an hour in here each visit.”

“Having shopped here previously when I lived nearby, I finally consigned a few items. I am most pleased in every regard and have already made a winter appointment as I have unique furs to consign. The staff is amazing! Items are displayed and showcased, just fabulous. I bought a vintage fur accessory too.”
“Great place to buy stuff and everyone working there has always been so nice but I’ve called or stopped there to donate things seven times as of today and even when I’ve called or gotten there before noon the sign that they are full for the day is always up. It’s a waste of time. Everyone is very nice about it, but I wouldn’t waste your time dropping by there. Easier to donate elsewhere unfortunately”
“This is my first ever google review and I'm happy to post this about this establishment. Staff was great, nice polite and very helpful. I was surprised about the prices and different sales they had .I will definitely return. Thanks to the staff that helped me.”

“While I really appreciate everything Goodwill does for the community, and I love how clean and organized this location is, I’ve noticed some concerns with the pricing and condition of certain items. At times, I’ve come across things that are visibly damaged (like broken frames or toys) and still priced in a way that doesn’t reflect their condition.
I completely understand that some pricing guidelines are set across the board, but I don’t feel this should apply to items that are clearly damaged. Broken items either need to be discounted accordingly or not put on the sales floor at all, especially when safety could be an issue for kids’ things.
On a positive note, I’ve never had anything less than a wonderful interaction with the staff here. Overall, I do enjoy shopping at this Goodwill and value the mission behind it. I hope this feedback can help keep the experience affordable and fair for everyone.”
“From the time I walked into the store I was greeted, helped and rung out. The store is so neat and clean. I bought more than I probably bought more than I needed. I love the round up button and I was happy to round up. This is the 14740 Hull Street Goodwill.”
“This is a great place if you want to find clothes, vintage clothes vintage furniture jewelry this is a great place to go I go in here looking for costumes for Halloween but you can find so much more hair.”
“I love shopping at ConsignRVA! There are always new items every time I go in, and the customer service is top notch. Sarah is always so friendly, and her prices are fair. Bob is really helpful and accommodating as well. Can’t wait to go back and find more treasures.”
“Great thrift shop with low prices! Had furniture, home items, and clothes.I was confused about the pictures posted under this location's reviews because they seemed like family pictures and not of the store. But I went anyways and glad I did! Will definitely be returning”
“I’ve been coming to this place forever! Great selection of clothing at the cheapest prices you’ll find! Different sales every day of the week. Friendly staff! Love this place ?”

“Excellent shopping expérience. They have a good selection of jewelry, furniture, kitchenware, clothes, toys, and more. The staff is friendly and very helpful. We found some very nice furniture pieces at affordable prices, a vintage Napier, and sterling bangle. We also found an old Angel Adams print at a great price. Definitely recommend.”
“Very helpful staff!! Didn't really know what my shirt measurements were, they measured and got the shirts that I needed. In and out in a matter of minutes!! Thank you!!”

“Goodwill is an awesome non-profit organization. They sell women's and men's apparel. They also sell kids apparel. You can get clothes at an awesome price.
Me and my fiance come here about twice a week.
The prices are very reasonable and the associates are very helpful.
I recommend this Goodwill.”
“This is my favorite RVA uptown cheapskate! When I travel to Richmond for work I always stop at this location. I have been to 3 locations in the area and the staff here are by far the most helpful and super kind. My only recommendation is for them to get the roll around baskets like other locations have.”

“Amazing store with amazing prices. Seems like most items are under $20 !!! I’ve gotten at least 6 pieces from there for around $15 TOTAL!! Love this place and their mission.”
“Best thrift store in the Patterson / Tuckahoe area. Good selection of books and stationery, and both are cheap. It is my solemn conviction that decent-condition used paperbacks ought to go for fifty cents each, and Thrift For Life meets that benchmark. That alone puts this place above the other two thrift stores on Patterson Avenue. Furthermore, the sign out front notes that all proceeds go to the Massey Cancer Center, which is a worthwhile beneficiary. The other two thrift stores fund local church outreach organizations. Best of luck to them, but honestly? I'd rather my money fight cancer.Anyways, in those categories of things that I purchase from thrift stores, Thrift For Life has both a decent supply and reasonable prices. Besides all that, it's a nice and cozy place. Highly recommend.”
“Well organized shop with great selection. The owner is knowledgeable about the pieces. The inventory almost overwhelms the space, which limits the number of larger pieces.”
