Afternoon Tea at Oakhurst Inn offers a unique experience with high-quality tea and a beautiful sitting space, making it a lovely spot for gatherings. The tea is praised for its quality, though some guests feel that the food portion could be improved, especially given the price of $32 per person. Service can be inconsistent, with some guests feeling rushed to leave, even when the lounge is not full. While the front desk and valet service has received positive feedback for being attentive and kind, there are concerns about the overall condition of the rooms. Some guests report issues like faded carpets, strange smells, and cleanliness problems that detract from the experience. Additionally, parking rules have raised some eyebrows among visitors. For those traveling with pets, select rooms are available, but it is advised to call ahead. Overall, Afternoon Tea at Oakhurst Inn has potential but may require some attention to detail in service and room maintenance.
We had a completely magical stay at the Oakhurst. The Inn has a vintage chic vibe and the staff were kind and helpful. Our room also had the most beautiful bathroom I've ever seen in my life. I can't recommend the Inn highly enough!

A bit noisy when we went. The tea area is right next to the lobby where lots of loud talking was happening. Food is a selection from Albemarle Baking. The ambiance was OK, the fire wasn't started, and you just felt like you were in the traffic of a busy hotel.
