“This is an above average Dollar General store. It is newer, so it is spacious, and well designed. However, it is a bit messy with the rolltainers in some parts of the store, with cluttered displays in a lot of the aisles. The staff were top notch, though.”
“Love G Market! Super friendly family running the store who are always going the extra mile to make sure you have a good experience.
They serve food in the back which is not the only reason to go but it's a big one! Grab some samosas and butter chicken on the way home from work, you won't regret it!”
“Nice clean country store. Friendly employee. They have a short order counter where you can get a variety of menu items. They have a 2 hotdog with fries and a fountain drink for about $8.00. It's pretty good. They also sell a variety of groceries too. Have gas and diesel. Definitely worth a stop.”
“I've been coming here for 2-3 years now and every single visit is worth it. The people who own/operate it are wonderful, kind and good hearted people. The cashiers are always super friendly. I def recommend this place ?”
“We drove 967 miles to get to this store. There was a particularly bad blizzard at the time, and my heavily pregnant wife was getting concerned for our safety. So you can imagine our relief when we finally arrived at the store. However, it was closed, so we had to turn around and drive back home. We made the journey again the following week and, whilst there were no blizzards, the store was closed again! On our 3rd attempt (one small blizzard), you guessed it, the store was closed! On the journey home, there was another blizzard, and we inadvertently drove in the wrong direction for 500 miles before we realized our mistake. My wife then went into labour, and I was forced to deliver the baby by myself with just the tools I had in the trunk. Mainly a 52-piece socket set, a tile cutter, duct tape and a large adjustable wrench. All went surprisingly well. We've named her Blizzard. Anyway, to cut a long story short, we made a fourth visit last week and were delighted to find that the store was open. We were greeted very enthusiastically by a very friendly employee who made us feel very welcome. However, when I asked where they kept the foie gras, they laughed and said they'd never heard of the stuff. So my wife and I had no choice but to get back in the car and head home again, empty-handed.
It's not the 8700 miles we drove to finally get to this store that's disappointing. It's the fact that I discovered the store opposite my house sells foie gras and can also deliver to me free of charge.
Would I recommend this store? Yes.
Would I recommend this store for foie gras? Most certainly not!”
“One of my fav stores! The owners and staff are very friendly & kind! The negative reviews must be from previous owners! I basically visit this store daily! I’ve also never had any issues with expired products. Competitive prices on many products. Thanks for providing a great experience!”
“Absolutely LOVE this little store's deli food that is handmade right in the store. Couldn't ask for a better lunch or dinner, generally. Store owner and his staff are always extremely friendly and nice people. I would definately recommend my own family members or friends to stop by this store and DEFINATELY try some of their fresh and awesome food. You will not be disappointed”
“The employee's are always nice when i go in there. They have been patient with me when ive needed to ask questions or needed them to help me with something.”
“Steve is the best! He went above and beyond to find a certified vegan wine to accommodate my allergies. The selection at this store is also far better than other locations. We will be back!”
“Desperately needed air in a work truck tire. I was 20 miles north of Flyod, 20 miles south of Roanoke. With few options, a Quick Google search pointed me to Smith Grocery. I called, and to my surprise they had air.
Air hose was free to use and they let us use their tire gauge.
Happy to discover this place. Inside was cool with a full functioning ol' country store feel, antiques on the wall, hardware section, fresh produce, cold cuts, various groceries, made to order food, honey, maple syrup...to name a few.
Stop here, support local businesses, its amazing.”
