“Love this place and the people. My husband and I go there 2 or 3 times a week. Great sandwiches, seafood, all meats, salads, desserts, fruits, vegetables. Staff has always been so nice. Best special place all around.”
“This is a freshly remodeled store and it looks nice. The aisles are well laid out, it ia very clean, and very well stocked. There were friendly staff everywhere, making the place come alive with a friendly demeanor. I really enjoyed shopping here.”
“In today’s high tech society of cell phones, computers, artificial intelligence, online stores, etc. It refreshing to stop by Old Dutch and get an old world feel of how things use to be. I have always and will always love Old Dutch. They still have the best meat department of any grocery store I have ever been to. Some of their products are priced higher than if you were to purchase the exact same products at Walmart, Amazon, or even FoodLion. I don’t know why that is but this isn’t something that keeps me from coming back.”
“Wonderful little store! Great friendly staff all over the store. Wonderful owners and management team. You can find most any hard too find items there. Outstanding!”
“Thank you to food lion! They got my birthday cake for my sons party done in the 48 hour time frame they promised. It was delicious and looked exactly like what I asked for. Walmart was too busy to do it. So glad I went here instead. The cake tasted better and looked better than what walmart does. Shop here all the time anyway. Employees are nice. Store is clean. No issues.”
“If you go during the day it is great, but evenings are normally young people who don't even speak to you. Normally they are talking and laughing with each other. I try not to go after 6pm or weekends for that reason.”

“It's always a pleasure to shop here. Food prices are high all over. The store is clean and well organized. They have included some self checkout which I didn't use but for some it saves time.”
“I went in to play 3 lottery numbers and I had never filled out a paper and when I went in I said hello and the 2 ladies that were working were so sweet and the one was very helpful and patient with me. I didn't win on the number but the lady was so nice I felt as tho I won her smiles.”
“I have no idea with the other review is about. I know the owner and he's a simple man, never curses or disrespects customers. If you are causing a problem then that is when he will ask you leave. Despite the outside appearance, its a good store and I always get my gas here.”

“Typical Dollar General. Very clean. Very friendly staff. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. Everything you need from toiletries, shirts, crossword puzzles, balloons or just a drink and a candy bar. Public bathroom, just ask for the key. Tight isles from all the stock. Staff may be busy and not at the check out, just grunt out cough loudly and someone will come help.”
“I have been shopping at Dollar General for quite some time. The store on Piney Forest Rd had really gone down hill. There is a new Manager there now and she has really fixed the store up. She has great displays and there are no containers full of boxes. She is very friendly and always eager to help. I really enjoy shopping there now. You should be very proud of her and the store.

“They have a good selection. Prices aren't terrible, the cashiers have a couple of ppl who aren't happy to see customers, but for the most part an all around B-”
“This place is great. We go here about every other week to get the fresh chicharrón made in-house. We also buy our carne asada here from the meat department. It's seasoned and ready to cook. They have fresh tamales here occasionally, so we are sure to grab some when we're lucky enough. They also have fresh cornbread almost always available. Beside the meat department is a tall selection of various sweet breads. We have tried them all, and you can not go wrong no matter what you choose.Additionally, they have a well stocked, large selection of Hispanic groceries and some vegetables.Beside them and connected with a doorway in a shared wall is a Mexican restaurant. We've never eaten there, but I'm sure it's going to be quite authentic. I'll do a review on them soon.5 stars all day!”
“Kind of a hodge-podge grocery store with lots of offerings, although sometimes difficult to find specific items. The grocery items are plentiful, and they have fresh fish swimming in tanks. We joke sometimes that they should have guides available to walk you through the aisles to let you know what everything is. All in all, a big selection and decent prices. A lot of Asians in Durham/Chapel Hill shop here. They do have smaller sections for Hispanic and South Asian foods, but it's mostly Chinese and East Asian. They also have a small bakery and in-store dining. Had a bobba tea stall one time but I don't think it's there anymore.”
“I moved to Danville 2 years ago. Midtown Market keeps my family eating the freshest local produce, fish, poultry and beef ! I go every week as they get fresh salmon on Tuesdays and Fridays. They grind beef for ground chuck daily. The chickens are small like I like which means they’re not pumped up with hormones that makes the breast as big as your head. The salmon is by far the BEST I’ve had since Ukrops sold out in Richmond. I’m originally from California and love locally sourced, fresh food. I don’t want produce from Mexico, Peru not even Florida if I don’t have too. Bill, Shotsy, Tammy and Jan are friendly, helpful. Btw, fish when fresh has no odor. Purchased salmon from Sam’s and other stores . . . It all smells FISHY ! Not my MIDTOWN ! Cooking their cubed steak right now. I had stopped buying this cut of meat as the grocery store chains don’t butcher their meat. It’s sent to the store already cut. Theirs is tough and no flavor !”
