“Squash-a-Penny is a very unique shopping experience. It’s an old general store packed full of amazing vintage advertising and so many other great and unusual pieces. There is A LOT to look at so be prepared, you can easily spend an hour or two exploring and still not see everything. If you’re a first time visitor, it can be a little overwhelming with the sheer volume of stuff. With that said, Squash-a-Penny is one of the few places in Richmond I consistently find something great to bring home every time I stop in. In my opinion, everything is reasonably priced. The store is now open by appointment only on weekends and just make sure to leave your technology in the car.”
