“Had a reservation at the Lorton Holiday Inn. We were driving from Connecticut (still about an hour and a half away) at 11:40pm, when we received a call that our room was double booked and they no longer had availability and they basically told us to kick rocks. After arguing with the staff member at that hotel, he reluctantly reached out to the Dumfries Holiday Inn where we were lucky to snag the last available room. Staff member at the desk was nice (as was the employee in the morning at checkout). Room was clean, AC worked well and bed was comfy.”

“I enjoyed my stay on my way up North. It was hidden by a lot of trees but Google Maps knew right where to tell me to turn. The lobby was welcoming and so was the front desk clerk! My room was great! The little kitchen area is so nice, I would consider staying here on longer trips (or checking out other Home2 Suites). The breakfast spread was nice and it was ready before the stated 6 AM time. It was super easy to get back on 95. All said, it was a perfect stay.”

Food & drinks: Breakfast was decent, not really a fan of oatmeal or powder eggs”

“A great place to stay in this area. The aesthetics are of a modern design. Check in and check out is frictionless. The lounge area in the lobby is spacious with plenty of seating along with plenty of work spaces if needed. The complimentary breakfast is easy to get to and has good selection and is delicious. The staff is polite and professional. They are following current respiratory hygiene guidelines. Recommended.”

“I checked in after dinner and was pretty tired after a long drive check-in was very easy. The rooms were very clean. I love the fresh fluffy white towels, the nice location and everyone that works here is very kind. Rooms: Perfectly clean and tidy. I *especially* appreciated the care that had been taken arraying the in-room coffee service and the bathroom accoutrements. You can tell when people care about doing a good job, and that was obvious here!

“This was such a great place to stay. The price was perfect, you’re near lots of food and shopping centers. If you like driving, you’re about 2 hours from Virginia Beach which is a nice little drive. The rooms are very clean, not a spec of dust or dirt anywhere. The bathrooms are very nice as well. The staff is very kind and nice. I definitely recommend staying here.”
“I have stayed here for a while now. The service is excellent. All the rooms are clean the people that run the desk and the maintenance guy are very, very nice people. They definitely make you feel welcome there. They run a good and honest business and have done right by me so if you need a place to stay in Stafford, I’d highly recommend this place cause I don’t think I’ve ever met any nicer hotel staff.”

“Clean, quiet, friendly, affordable. The breakfast was basic but included “eggs” and sausage. But I paid less than I would have expected for this very nice stay.
Noteworthy details: If I had seen the negative reviews instead of deciding based on the “hot breakfast” and low price, I would’ve missed a nice, trouble free experience. I saw nothing of the dirtiness some people complained of.”

“The service was great and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a horrible experience at the Day's Inn (Extremely dirty hotel, we walked in the room and before we even put our bags down we walked back out) and we needed a room for the night. The lady at the front (I can't remember her name, but I believe she was Indian) was very helpful and when she saw me later that evening she asked me was everything ok and was I satisfied with the room. After what my wife and I just went through, I really appreciated her asking.”
