“Smaller than Fort Belvior, but well stocked and clean. I’m in between locations, so I will probably utilize this one more because it seemed to be a lot less busy, and it opened earlier.”

“If you're looking for a fine dining experience then this is not the place for you, but if you're looking for good food, you'll find it here. This was our first time here and the staff was helpful with food recommendations. We really enjoyed the spicy chicken, veggie combo, and the lamb tips were excellent! I would definitely recommend the food.”

“I love this place. I can get craft beer and Asian candies at the same spot, and pair it with Belgian lambics. K-1 is a global market to service your refined snacking and drinking needs. They even do postal service and lottery games. Don’t miss out!”

“Thank God, we have this store around here, we can find a lot of stuff from back home! The whole family loves this please , the owner and they were couple other people that worked there that were quite friendly. However, they hired a new girl that first of all knows nothing about the store, or products, or what they offer, sell their, second she is not friendly, talkative, or god forbid you ask where anything is….. she just stairs like you are talking a foreign language. Despite that we love this store and we try to avoid going there when she is there.”

“Love this little spot. The hot food is all so good - I love their pupusas, and I also frequently get their tamales. They also have a surprising number of grocery items for such a small shop! Prices for grocery are high to be expected for a small shop (though they have some items that are hard to find in this area), but their hot food bar is VERY reasonably priced.”

“Everything you need. There wasn't any organic produce, but the selection is sufficient for most needs. Most common cuts of beef are available but they are very thin cuts. No grass fed options available.”

“You got all what you want from Ethiopia! That is what amazes me! Just say it,and name it, be sure you will get it! It you don't, she will tell you she will get it next time... then she has it for you! Even books from Ethiopia are smiling at the shelves calling to be taken away! Thank you for having it all in one store!”

“I don't know why, but this place reminded me of your sitcom, corner store, supermarket. It was so welcoming when I came in here and had the shelves stocked with items. Honestly, this was one of the best supermarkets I have been in for a while. One down side here is that it is located in a rather cramped space. The aisles are narrow and if you a claustrophobic, this might not be the spot for you. Even though it is a smaller space, they do have a wide variety of items to choose from. It was a nice experience and it was great to see that this is used by so many people. I only stopped in here one night to grab a few things and there were enough people in here to make it known it is a great asset in the area. I grabbed my items, made it to the front, had a small wait in line, but it was worth it. The employee that was working was super pleasant and definitely made it a better experience.”

“Overall this location has some solid organic finds in produce for a good price. Great price on pasture raised eggs. The price for organic meat is decent too - on par with Costco and BJs for organic produce. This location is cleaner and better than some other Aldis.”

“Everyone is friendly here from the front of the house to the butcher. Great selection from kimem to traditional houseware items. Injera that is made in-house and is the best! Light and fresh always! I use to always get Ethiopian injera until I discovered Alem gebeya injera. It’s always an easy 1-stop shop for all habesha needs, the best in the area!”

“Time to grocery shop and this is my pick for reasonably-priced organic produce and a decent selection of prepared foods that are pretty darn tasty. Generally, I always find what I need and a little extra ?.Aldi's offers the cusumer a "smarter" and more cost effective shopping experience.”

“This grocery store definitely ethnic and I like it a lot especially because I actually live in Mexico for half of the year. I've shopped here a dozen times, and they carry many items that you simply won't be able to find at a traditional grocery store. However it is somewhat more expensive for the average products like orange juice and milk. The larger grocery chains have better prices overall because they can buy their products wholesale for much less than a small grocery store such as this one. The shopping experience and the interior of the store itself is nearly identical as to what you would find in Mexico or Latin America. They have a decent meat and seafood section, and they also have the most basic produce items. The times that I have come here we're to purchase only a few items. Today I purchased a bag of oranges, and a half gallon of milk.”

“Love Mama n papa son. They switched over from the liquor store across the street and it's been a very nice change. You don't have to go to two separate stores anymore, it is more convenient all the way around. One stop shop for a bottle, ciggs or snacks.”

“I 'very been going there since 2004,same store staff mostly the same, good guys, but this is a neighborhood landmark in the sense that, you are likely to run into a neighbor, friend, Peron you haven't seen in a while... OK so most neighborhood stores, who can only stay in comparison with the Big Stores, when the people in the neighborhood can't get to the store or don't feel like all the people on the grocery stores, but now of our stores are fair on some thins and outrages with others... Should out to the staff at Northeast market. A. K. A. "24 hour store" Tell them Redd's sent you... Everyone knows as that there!!! Shout out to Trinidad/Ivy City...”

“I've been shopping at TPSS for over 20 years. I appreciate that simplicity and feel of a local market. There's a variety of fruits and veggies and natural medicine.”

“This is by far the best supermarket that I know in Washington and pretty much elsewhere. The staff is extremely nice and helpful, the selection is better and more various than in all the competition, even better than in much bigger markets, the prices are lower that elsewhere, and I just can get everything I can think of. Thank you for your service.”
