“This is one of the most upscale and most expensive thrift stores I ever went to on a military base & in general. The staff is one of the most professional and knowledgeable in customer etiquette and in organizational & pricing skills. They are very thorough in curating & displaying high quality items, researching the items displayed, and placing a fair price on items sold. Some of the items are priced at what may seem outrageously expensive yet it is not. Mint condition or well known high quality items are priced at 50% (most of the time) of their selling price online used or new ( at this thrift store’s highest amount price). I found an elegant Mikasa bowl for $8 there that seemed over priced, yet it is selling for $60 online used and a discontinued style. If you want dirt cheap and super low prices, you are better off going to a yard sale, typical thrift store, gimme a five, or general dollar store for a bargain or steal if you want items at a low price. If you are looking to resell items for profit, I would NOT recommend this place as well. According to my experience, the most superb deals and low priced items sold here are usually low key high quality luxury brands and not desired or well known by the general public.Once in a blue moon, you will find rare and spectacular items at a stellar price; even though, you might not realize it until you research or know the item’s worth. I have purchased a vintage Rolex brand leather - brand new wallet with fine detailed & metal engraved hardware for only $4 there. I just bought it because it was red, real leather, and well made. I also found a low key yet high quality British luxury brand - new leather - wallet for $3.75 there too. Retro style curvy wood bar chairs for $35 each - was one of my most desirable finds here. I couldn’t find the exact chair online because it might be vintage or no longer manufactured. The closest duplicate to it was priced at $244 a chair and had an unattractive cut out design on the chair back.Their book selection is always amazing and always have a buy two books & get one free deal. I always find the best giant coffee table photography books there and fascinating books. Another rare yet wonderful find here is vintage vinyl records in mint condition for $1 each.It took me a long time to write a review for this store, because I didn’t think it was like your usual thrift store. It seemed that most of the items I was drawn to were consignment boutique or antique store prices - not at my price range except for the books and certain items. I realized this thrift store excels in customer service and had a lot of hidden gems & high quality items in the end that people usually disregard.”

“What can I say... Thrifting a.k.a. recycling is the way to go. I can't tell you how many things I find that are brand new with tags & this location is no different.I went in specifically looking for some French onion soup crocks, and I found them in brand new condition $3.99 a piece whatta baaaaahhhgin! This location has a bunch and I mean a bunch of brand new with tags George Mason University spirit wear aka shirts & sweatshirts, so if that's your U then go get some gear here for dirt cheap...waaaay cheaper than the campus store!I will say I find Salvation Army, at times, a bit more expensive than Goodwill or Unique but they also have a different selection so you just need to dig. This location also has a drive-through drop off for donations, which I utilize all the time, and they actually retrieve it from your car for you which is amazing. Profits are re-purposed into the programs that they support and used for the good of all concerned.”

“The volunteers are so sweet and helpful. There are so many treasures to be found. Everything I purchased was lovely. I was so impressed I decided to become a volunteer in the store.”

“this is my all-time FAVORITE thrift store. I love the how friendly the volunteer staff are, I love supporting the community, and I swear I find the BEST items in this shop.”

“Very often a good bargain to be found here. Prices very reasonable but the good quality stuff goes quickly so you need to visit the store 2-3 times a week to time it right. Deals to be picked up particularly if you are looking for furniture or stuff for your apt or house.”

“Growing up very poor these type organizations, especially Catholic Charities, came to our aid and even supplied holiday dinners many times. Because of them we even had presents. So I try and support those who actually support others, not just take your donations for their own profits (like some others...GW). The nice ladies took my donations with a smile and thanked me. They did turn away a few items that were not appropriate for their facilities but that was understandable. The store was clean and looked like a place I'd love to stroll through when I had some more time. Would recommend.”

“I have received the best services at this facility starting from the emergency financial assistance department down to the food distribution department. All the people that work at this facility are very helpful, kind and very considerate. All the people that work at this facility also walk that extra mile to give you all the help that you need at the time. Thanks for all that you do for me! God bless!”

“Their hours a limited, like all NMCRS thrift stores (Tue., Thu. 1100-1300; 1st Sat. of the Month 1000-1400) but it's the only one in the DC area. They have a whole room dedicated to Navy and Marine Corps uniform items. If you need extra khakis or whites, check this place out first before going to the uniform store. Occasionally they'll have bridge coats or pea coats or even mess dress (typically only men's though). I've been told there are other thrift stores with a better selection of women's uniforms but this is the closest one to me and it's better than nothing! They also have a variety of rank devices, ribbons, metals, belts, and all those other small uniform extras that you'll inevitably loose and need to replace. Also a great place to donate rank items when you promote (including the ones that you might have to sew on!) In addition to uniforms, they also have a decent selection of clothing. They have small collections of toys, books, and housewares, and try to set up a seasonal display. Items will be discounted towards the end of the season and prices are generally fair for a thrift store. They just recently started accepting credit cards and were previously cash or check only which is a huge and much appreciated change. You need a military ID to purchase uniform items and base access to get to the thrift store, but it's a great bonus for the local military community.”

“You really can’t beat the Salvation Army retail store! The prices are great - I bought a really nice pair of Converse Chuck Taylors there and actually scored some kid’s Air Jordan 1’s once. This is a thrift store so you must really look over the items before purchasing. Some of the clothes have stains and or holes. That, however should be expected at a thrift store. Anyone expecting all the items to be in mint condition should probably shop at a regular retail store. So for what it’s worth, I enjoy the thrill of the hunt and finding that one perfect item makes it fun. Go in with proper expectations and you will enjoy the experience!”

“4 stars overall.Stellar Customer Service (Nancy & Joseph) and Items purchased were at a good price - 5 StarsSo I docked off a star due to the high prices on items in the store especially damaged items. My favorite items purchased were a real sterling silver bracelet with amethysts, aquamarines, and a druzy crystal for $6 and a non fiction history book for $2.Books were priced the way they would be priced in a used book store or Goodwill. The yellow and green tags deal on some of them cut the price down from 33% to 50% off. You get the seventh book free. I got 8 books for $10.I got a Mikasa bowl made in Japan and some silver cooking item tools for 33% off - $4I saw a sterling silver amber stone bracelet for $15 and Michael Kors bag for $50. The price and products were fair yet not good enough to sway me to buy them. Some items were not priced and could not be purchased.A definite go see thrift store. The sales are good. The customer service is excellent and helpful.”

“This is a small store that always impresses me with the high quality of clothing available. Most of their clothing is priced at either 3/$10 or 3/$20, and are sorted by price and type on the racks; these garments don't have price tags, which avoids the holes often created by other thrift stores. Shoes, coats, accessories and some boutique items are priced a bit higher than most other thrift stores, but the quality and condition tend to be higher also. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The Latin music is cheerful and upbeat, not too loud. The store is clean and well-organized. A hidden gem in Woodbridge that has rapidly become my favorite thrift store.”

“This is THE place to buy furniture!! You have to be patient and go often to find exactly what you’re looking for but eventually it will come and you can scoop it up for a reasonable price. I’ve been shopping here for 30 years and I always walk away with a treasure!!”

“Great deals, great volunteers. The prices are more than fair and the volunteers strongly care about raising money for the hospital, and are friendly, helpful, and fun to talk to. There's a great selection clothes in good to new condition. One suggestion: I bought two t-shirts and realized the tag gun tore noticable holes in both of them after I got home. Perhaps using a gun with a smaller needle, or tagging at a seam would avoid this. I was able to sew the holes, but it's a shame they were damaged by the store's pricing processes.”

“An absolute lovely gem in our community. They always have stuff that make my visits worthwhile. The employees are kind and helpful. I love their rotating discounts!”

“The times that I've gone here there has been a pretty good selection of clothes, household items, furniture, and other miscellaneous stuff. Even though it's under another name I believe they're affiliated with AmVets and will do home pickup of big furniture items people want to donate, which is great! Store is pretty well organized, they keep the floor well stocked and offer some nice promotions. A lot cheaper and better than most goodwills these days.I can also tell this thrift store is pretty good because of the bad attitude of staff working here, no matter what, no matter who you interact with, no matter when or what you're trying to buy. I don't know what the hourly pay rate is for this place so I can't fault them actually. People working here are tired and fed up with you before you even approach them with a question and there's one cashier lady who may be the most unhappiest person I've ever interacted with. No matter what you do when you approach her with your items at the front, you're doing it wrong and she's going to let you know about it. Despite that I frequently think about coming back here from time to time and that folks, is a true sign of a good thrift store.”

“Huge location. Some of every thing seems to always be available. Affordable, thrift store prices - on very usable items and clothing. I always appreciate a good thrift store, and this one qualifies!”

“This Goodwill is one of the most organized stores that I have ever visited. Love the fact that they organize and tag the clothing by size making it so much easier to find.”

“I’m so in love with this thrift store! Most items are in really nice quality. Great prices; unlike GoodWill, which somehow turned into some overpriced trash bin. (My opinion)Great customer discounts when you sign up with your phone #. Great daily discounts too!I almost always find as least 3 things to buy at any given visit… *sigh* I have a problem ?‍??”

“Well laid out. Clean. Organized. Friendly staff. They don’t make you feel like you’re in their way like other locations. Lots of clothes. Mostly clothes. Which for me was preferred. Was just at another location. Disorganized there with a boutique rack with jacked up prices. Higher then TJ max. This place didn’t appear to have a boutique rack and had high quality clothes all mixed in. The prices were very reasonable.”

“This place is awesome. Granted I only mainly shop for kids clothing, recreational items and workout clothes. Moreover I mainly shop during their holiday/ federal holiday sale. The building is older so don’t come in expecting town center quality. Know your size so you don’t have to make exchanges.. if my items don’t fit I place it in a goodwill bin and call it a day. And as far as the inability to speak Spanish.. my high school Spanish class has helped me communicate. You will find good deals!”

“I love going thrifting but this place is normally low quality and over priced. If you are looking for some nice finds look at store out in Huntington. However, if you just need an item for a quick DIY project, this place should suit your needs and be cheaper than Michaels etc”

“From other reviews, the experience seems to be hit and miss, no half ways. Mine was excellent, staff was polite and helpful, store was very clean with roomy aisles, merch and prices were good. I liked the prices be written with permanent markers, in other thrifty stores labels fall.I will definitely return.”

“Not your typical thrift store. It is upscale but very well displayed and organized housewares, clothing, books, decor, etc donated by people to benefit Inova hospital.”
