“This is a good sized Walgreens with a drive up prescription pickup window. Staff are friendly but like most places they seem to be understaffed a lot of the time, which translates to waits. To save wait time you can drop off (or have your physician send in) your prescriptions and they will text or call you when it is ready for pickup. If you choose to drop off in person you can ask for an estimated pickup time which is generally accurate.”

Tawfik took the time to walk me through everything, and even arranged a transfer to another pharmacy so I could get the meds I needed—on a Saturday, no less, before 6 p.m.! I am just so, so grateful. The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.
