About Aloft Richmond West Short Pump
Aloft Richmond West Short Pump is a hotel in a great and convenient location, near many restaurants and bars. The staff receives praise for being friendly, efficient, and providing a warm welcome. The rooms are generally described as clean and decent, with comfortable beds, and housekeeping does a good job keeping them tidy. The hotel offers amenities like an on-site lounge and bar, electric vehicle charging, and discounts at local venues.
However, the hotel is actively undergoing renovation, which is noted as much needed. The property's condition is described as tired, with mentions of dirty grout, broken blinds, and a rusty vent. Some amenities have been unavailable due to construction, and there is no complimentary breakfast. Significant noise issues are frequently reported, including loud HVAC units, thin walls allowing noise from adjoining rooms, and disturbances from dogs barking. Guests have also experienced operational problems like unstable TV signals, intermittent internet, elevators out of service, and a disruptive false fire alarm. The hotel allows dogs, which some guests feel should be better managed. While many find it a nice hotel with a good location and would stay again, others had a horrific experience due to these consistent issues with noise, maintenance, and ongoing construction.
Bed was fine but if your looking for high end furnishings this is not the place

Rooms were very clean with comfy beds. The location is extremely convenient and is super lively at all times. The parking is extremely confusing but you have to switch multiple elevators to get yo the hotel from there. There is only hotel access from the parking on P2. The AC is also extremely loud.
