“This place is incredible. The facilities are exactly what you need to wash a big husky like I have and the employees and owners are even better. Their hours changed and I didn’t know and they offered to stay late so I could wash my dog. Didn’t take them up on that as my planning should have been better, but the appreciation I have is still valid.
They close at 7pm so if you aren’t a member just make sure to check the hours!
Membership might be the next move for us!!”
“What an awesome place to wander into while my husband was getting his haircut next door. Great selection of chews and food/snacks for my berner. The owner and staff were very knowledgeable and very supportive. I appreciated the conscious selection of food options for pets and was happy to see the brand I had selected for my dog years ago was up to their standards. Will definitely be returning- greatly appreciated the numerous samples they provided for Bruce to try.”
“If you need any sort of supplies for your feathered friend this is the shop to go to. This is a famiky owned business. The staff is very knowledgeable on products to help feed and attract birds.
They also offer some lovely gift items too. They have a wide selection of bird and hummingbird seeds and food.

“Our dog Luca was found to have a mass in his ear. After speaking with Dogma, they found time to bring him in to have a bath before his surgical consultation. Even with his tender ear, they were able to schedule him and bathe him on his schedule. No rush, no pressure. I cannot say enough good things about every person at Dogma. How lucky we are to have found them.”
“I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences with Dog Lovers Obedience School. My dog, Bingley, has grown enormously through all of the different types of training he’s received — from their excellent group classes (puppy, beginner, and intermediate) to the half-day training sessions he attends while I’m at work, and the board-and-train programs when I’m out of town. I’ve learned so much from their team as well. The trainers are patient, knowledgeable, and truly committed to each dog’s progress. I can’t recommend them highly enough!”
“Red Ridge is truly great. Everyone who works here is super friendly and happy to help with suggestions and questions. We first visited back in December when our cat when into heart failure and suddenly refused all food. The wonderful woman working there walked with us around the store suggesting the stinkiest, highest-calorie foods for our cat to try (and we found a winner she still loves!). In subsequent visits, she remembered our situation and always checks in on how our cat is doing. We love RedRidge!”

“Skoolz has been my main fish provider for the past decade. Over the years, I’ve seen them move locations and change staff, but the quality of their fish has remained excellent. Recently, the new store manager, Erik, has truly improved the aesthetics and organization of the store, making the shopping experience much easier for customers. If they dont have what you're looking for, they either will soon or can special order it.”
“Their tofu litter is fantastic! My new favorite litter. It doesn't track, isn't dusty, and the cats like it. It lasts nearly twice as long as my previous clumping clay litters. Easy to scoop, easy to handle.”

One of the employees purchased two lollipops out of her own pocket for two kids who were shopping with their parents which was very nice of her. “I enjoy shopping here, it’s clean, there’s plenty of parking and the prices are great. I never feel crowded and I can relax and get my groceries. I went in and couldn’t find the Lidl laundry detergent I usually buy and I asked one of the employees and he didn’t see it either so they took it a step further and asked the other employee who sets the floor and they found it for me. It was just in a different place and I missed it but they went out of their way for me and I appreciate it.”
“I was at the Nansemond store this morning and needed some quite specific items for a recovering cat whom had just had surgery. Your employee Danny could not have been more helpful. He knew my situation exactly and led me straight to what I needed and offered very helpful advice. Thank you for having such experienced and helpful employees. “Great place for both salt and freshwater fish. The store is fairly big. Has a lot of different species. You can even find tarantulas and snakes here. Great place to look around. One of the larger pet stores in Richmond. Wish there were more like it around here!”
“Petco Staples Mill Road (this particular location in Henrico county— I am only referring to this location as my experience was not the same at another location ) was so loving to my sweet Cinnamon and took
great care of her! They groomed her and took their time and she looked wonderful. I lost my sweet Cinnamon, but the way they loved her will never be forgotten.”

I rated them 4 stars because I with that their price for cichlids were a bit more affordable. The average cost for a cichlid is $10-$12.”

“I order all of my pets needs now and have them delivered from this store and they are A++ on speedy service, I used Chewy for years but their delivery became unreliable, it took a full 7 days to receive orders, so much for 3 day delivery, I get my PetSmart in a day or two, knowing that I can count on it means everything.”
