“The service at Pauley’s Pups was wonderful! Mary welcomed us so kindly. she answered all our questions so thoroughly and in depth. The paper work didn’t take long to fill out and we got some playtime with our puppy. Overall I would really recommend this place. The breeders are reliable and trustworthy. They let you meet the dogs first! I would give this place a 10/10 star rating. So so so happy with our experience, highly recommend. ?”
“If you have an animal who needs a wash, GO HERE! They literally have everything you need---towels, shampoo, conditioner, ear wipes, various types of brushes, crates, blowdryers at the tub, and a separate blowdrying station. Just to make it even better, the employee on duty was an actual angel. She was friendly and knowledgeable, but she also was attentive to my dog. I have a senior dog who rushed down the steps and felt on the floor. She couldn't get up, and while I was in shock, the employee lept into action and made a sling for me with a towel. She escorted my baby to the cash register while I gathered my things and gave her a treat to help her feel better. I will 3000% be back, and be more diligent in guiding my dog down the stairs (she's perfectly fine btw).”
“Our dog Luca was found to have a mass in his ear. After speaking with Dogma, they found time to bring him in to have a bath before his surgical consultation. Even with his tender ear, they were able to schedule him and bathe him on his schedule. No rush, no pressure. I cannot say enough good things about every person at Dogma. How lucky we are to have found them.”
“If you need any sort of supplies for your feathered friend this is the shop to go to. This is a famiky owned business. The staff is very knowledgeable on products to help feed and attract birds.
They also offer some lovely gift items too. They have a wide selection of bird and hummingbird seeds and food.
Birdhouse, frreders and birdbaths too. Come and see all Yardbirds has to offer.”

“I wanted to make sure to leave a review for PJ Petts - our brand new family member needed his first groom and PJ Petts did a fantastic job! The staff listened to what we wanted and our boy came back looking so handsome. I love that they called to give us a "report card" on how he did so we can ensure his next grooming session is a success. They are fully booked and not taking new clients at the moment but we have our name on the list for when something does open up.”

“Skoolz has been my main fish provider for the past decade. Over the years, I’ve seen them move locations and change staff, but the quality of their fish has remained excellent. Recently, the new store manager, Erik, has truly improved the aesthetics and organization of the store, making the shopping experience much easier for customers. If they dont have what you're looking for, they either will soon or can special order it.”

Tucked into a nice quiet area where I have never experienced any issues with any employees people or any other items.
Always seems to have stock of items didn’t know whether tractor supply has within a 40 mile radius area, which is really good as it is very helpful so I do not have to buy online and we’re on the risk of having issues.”

“The people are great. They're always knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. They make it what it is. And they should be paid more for the work they do. According to the MIT Living Wage Calculator (look it up), a living wage in Richmond for a single person with no kids is $23.30 an hour. Petco starts employees at $13 to $14 dollars an hour. Associates can make almost $19 dollars an hour. Still below a living wage. So please, do the right thing and start your employees at $20 dollars an hour, and provide avenues to increase this to a living wage asap. It's the right thing do. Time to give your employees a five star wage.”
“Petco Staples Mill Road (this particular location in Henrico county— I am only referring to this location as my experience was not the same at another location ) was so loving to my sweet Cinnamon and took
great care of her! They groomed her and took their time and she looked wonderful. I lost my sweet Cinnamon, but the way they loved her will never be forgotten.”
“Our puppy Lilly has been through both beginner(puppy) and intermediate dog training classes with Sarah. She is amazing at training dogs! Lilly is excited to come to class each week. We have learned so much about dog training and dog behaviors. I highly recommend any and all classes with Sarah. We are signed up for advanced and will be adding trick classes next year!”
“I had a wonderful experience with both Malika in the grooming salon, and Vegas, the wonderful cashier. I took my chihuahua in for a grooming, and Malika was kind, patient, and even painted my pups nails which was so fun and totally unexpected. It was a wonderful service, and I will continue to book with Malika in the future. The icing on the cake was our cashier, Vegas. She showed me coupons I wouldn’t have known existed- I paid for my grooming, got two $0.99 treats and left with $12 in rewards bucks. This is a wonderful group of folks in this store, and that’s saying a lot because the staff at the Brook Rd location is great as well!”

“I was hesitant about going back to Petco for grooming after my preferred groomer left but I'm glad I did. Emmanuel is a gem! He got my pup looking amazing and feeling confident! Emmanuel followed my preferences on having my pup's facial hair cut lower due to him having tear stains (Maltese) and had no judgment on the way pup looked (it had been an extended period of time between professional grooming). He also answered questions I had about dental hygiene. Thank you Emmanuel! We will be back!”
