“Today was my first experience with VCA Animal Hospital and what a pleasant surprise. From the reception desk to Dr. Thigpen it was amazing. I was greeted so nicely and offered beverages and snacks while I waited. Once taken back to an exceptionally clean exam room, Milo my cat was treated so gently by Dr. Thigpen. She was thorough and kind. Milo received a microchip and it was done so quickly he didn’t even feel it. In conclusion I was extremely impressed by the whole place.”
“Took my two 11-month-old kittens in for the first time to Banfield Pet Hospital on John Milton Dr, Herndon, VA. Loved the facility and staff there! Facility was bright and clean. They let the kittens be treated in the room since I wanted to be with them (not have them go to the back). Kaitlyn was our nurse - kindly let us into a room to wait since we were early and was so patient with this nervous cat Mom - she was responsive and fantastic! Dakota (vet tech?) assisted with the blood tests and was gentle and efficient. Dr. James Lew was our vet - the first thing he did with each kitten was to pick them up and cuddle them - he apparently does this with all his new cat patients! Everyone worked well together as a team! This is my new vet!”

They were very kind and gentle with my "angry" cat and used calming techniques to keep her calm and to keep themselves safe during the duration of her exam. They were also kind and gentle in handling my other cat and offered to get me in touch with a specialist to follow up on some health concerns they had about her. All members of the staff I met during my visit were kind and very professional.”
