Grocery Stores
“Quirky little restaurant. They have a limited, artisan menu that was pretty tasty (just make sure to ask for extra home fries if you're there for breakfast)”
“I always wanted to make a stop but never had the time until today. They have a great variety products (like exotic meats and handmade lip balm!) and I appreciated the little grab and go treats. The ladies working there were also so warm and lovely :)
I also had the pleasure of meeting local business owner Kurt and trying a sample of his Lucious Lucille seasoning. I can see myself making a creamy cajun mac and cheese with it aside from just meat. Bonus points for the clean ingredients and friendly meet and greet!”
“For a smalltown store, the quality, variety and prices are not terrible. There are good selections of healthy(ier) food options....almost like a mini-Whole Foods but not as expensive.”
“Lovely little market selling locally grown produce and artisanal goods. Great coffee bar. Friendly staff. Perfect place for stocking stuffers, unique gifts, etc. A hidden gem!”
“This store has just about anything a country store would need. The only thing they don't do is cook food which the employee said they were getting their permits to do. They sell everything from bait, knives to propane and milk. They even sell flowers and wine for Valentine's day. The prices aren't crazy either. This is that great place when it's late, you don't want to drive into town but need those few items.”
“Even though they have to move things around regularly, I find it easy to locate the things that I need. The staff are friendly and helpful and the prices can't be beat.”
“Ventured here(to this specific store). I usually go to Shepherdstown but with the weather, it was easier to go here.
The experience was lovely and so was my cashier by the name of Craig.”
“The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and always helpful, regardless of how silly my questions or requests might be. Cate is a dynamic employee, and really knows her stuff. A true asset to my favorite local grocer”
“Love the wine selection in this market, the steamed shrimp are always a delicious treat! Highly recommend the fried chicken as well it's delicious and they never disappoint. I do recommend you order ahead if it's during busy times like football season.”
“Adorable , easy to use with good instructions , delicious and amazing products. I’m from out of town and was just looking for farm goods and this place provided!”
“Amazing store! If you love historical Waterford you need to support and check this place out. It’s so rich in history while making sure you got everything you need for the road from snacks to home made hats made from the sheep you see behind the store. Love this place! Please give it a go while driving by!!!”
“This is my go-to pharmacy and grocer. The pharmacy staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. If they’re out of a particular medicine, they can get it within a day or two. You can refill via phone and app, set up automatic refills, and receive text notifications when prescriptions are ready.”
“Heather Heider is an absolute professional. Her knowledge of Fox hunting, hunter jumper, and horsemanship are unparalleled. We lease hirelings from her for our annual girl’s trip to go hunt in Virginia and she has become like family to us. I can’t recommend her and Van Vixen Farm enough!”
“Since I arrived in Ranson 20 years ago, i have shopped at Martins. Throughout the years, it has undergone several remodelings including the most recent ones. I am somewhat disappointed with the new layout. As i enter the store, the candy section is front and center - not exactly an attractive sight. In the fresh fruits and vegetables section, the layout seems disorganized. You find yourself weaving in and out of the shorter sections with other customers which can be a tight squeeze. Also, you have to pay close sttention to the organic vs nonorganic produce. It would be helpful to have more signs clearly indicating the distinction. This new layout may have been a corporate decision and not the local store itself. I still think improvements can be made. Koodos to the store itself for cleanliness and attentive staff.”
“We love that they are minutes from our house and have many organic and gluten free options! Saves sooooo much time so we don’t have to run into town! Many products that you find in Wegmans, Sprouts and Harris Teeter are here!”
“Not the biggest selection of stuff for sale and inventory seems low, but they are very friendly and it does have a Post Office inside so those are very great bonus points. The building and general area have a great, quaint historic vibe too.”
“Great staff!!! Place is a bit messy and unorganized. Just so much merchandise on the floor and not enough room. Only reason for the 4 stars and not 5. But the entire staff is great and very friendly.”
“Been driving past for years taking the kids to baseball, finally stopped in for coffee. Turns out they do breakfast sandwiches, something northern and western Loudoun are in short supply. (I’m from NJ ?) looks like high end ingredients, can’t wait to come back and try.
Reading thru the reviews, its a common theme nowadays, great food, bad service. My experience here reveals bad training, not bad employees. We walked in, young guy behind the counter is working diligently on something with his back to us, there’s a bell on the door, we shuffled our feet, and nothing. He doesn’t look up, doesn’t say hi. Once engaged with him though, he opens right up and starts telling me all about the products and how awesome this place is.
Idk, I could be wrong, but did anybody explain to him what world class service looks like? Do the owners really understand the importance, and is there ANY training programs in place? (I know, small mom and pop…yeah yeah, it’s post Covid, there are countless choices, get with it mom and pop, or I’m going to Denny’s!)
I’m sick and tired of owners and managers (not specifically this place now) complaining about kids nowadays and can’t find good help. Do you even have an employee handbook for your business? Do you have ANY systems, processes or procedures in place that said employee can be trained to a standard?
Wake up mom and pop, you can’t just hand a kid a notepad and tell them to go take my order.
But I digress, will be back for the breakfast, maybe some local maple syrup too. Very excited about a new to me spot!”
“I almost always have a good experience at the CT WM pharmacy. My Rx's are always in stock. The wait isn't usually too bad, though sometimes I feel like they could open up a third register during very busy times, and they're not always quick to come forward from the back area. I enjoy the quirky personalities of the techs and cashiers. A lot of them are humorous and kinda dry, which I appreciate. But they're always efficient and respectful with customers. I imagine they deal w/ a lot of pissy people on a daily basis, so, unlike other reviewers, I dont expect them to always be upbeat--I just expect them to be humanly polite. They've always gone out of their way to help me with issues and snags w/ insurance, etc. Ya get whatcha give.”
“I always love shopping at Weis stores. This was my first time in this particular one and I was very happy with my experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful.”
“Been going to this pharmacy for over 17 years :) Never encountered any issues what so ever . The staff are ever so helpful and friendly and the pharmacist are knowledgeable and ALWAYS look for their patients ❤️”
“Night crew are ALWAYS a beautiful and fun loving bunch..
Since I broke my back and that crew sees me coming it's an automatic big bag of dog food in my cart and out to my car.. They even remember where to put it and which way so all I have to do is open the bag in my car and carry a little in at a time..
GIANT'S NIGHT CREW ROCKS!!”
“This walmart's been better at stacking their Stuff lately so it was a good experience as able to find what I wanted and some other things that have always been out before”
“A great location of this store very well stocked very clean staff is very helpful and friendly they have a great selection in their fresh meats and seafood if that's your thing their Bakery is very nice the staff are very helpful when you asked and you're looking for certain things you're able to find them and if you're not able to find them there but hope you locate them they have a very friendly attitude the staff do they do all that they can to help you find what you're looking for they have great Crips and pick up they have a good Pharmacy this is a good store overall at this location if I could give more than five stars I would Harris Teeter was just recently ranked as the best supermarket chain in the United States which I think is very good you will be very pleased with your time at the store and the way the staff treats you and the way to get you in and out they have the cashiers always ready and they do have self checkouts as well or you can do online purchase and arrange to have things picked up ahead of time and brought to your car when you come in and let them know you're there”
“I stopped coming to this store for a while as it was just stressful to be in but i decided to try again today and it was a different world! Happy to have a decent store near me again that is convenient and friendly”
“I went there for the first time today. After walking inside the store I looked around for the pharmacy. While looking around I couldn't help but notice how clean and well stocked all of the shelves were. I had a prescription called in so I went to the pharmacy and picked it up. The pharmacist and the assistant smiled and waited on me immediately and asked if they could help me with anything else. I'll definitely be going back to that Giant.”
“I live very close by. The staff are ALWAYS friendly and welcoming!! They have a decent variety and selection for such a small store. A lil bit of everything, like the old general stores used to be like.”
