“2018 Great spot for a weekday or weekend get away. I’ve done both. It is family friendly. Get away solo, couple, or with the family. The rooms have great views and are clean and spacious.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The pool area has nice cabanas and a food area. Check in was fast and nice. The indoor pool by the spa is wonderful and the hot tub is the perfect temperature. All facilities are clean and a nice smell in the air. Fitness area is open late truly great spot for working out.

The clubhouse has a sports bar type dining experience and the food says the same, also a casual dining are across from the sports bar. They are both located in the clubhouse. There is another dining/sports bar type eating area located inside the restaurant towards the back of the resort just past the elevators. The staff in all aspects were nice and attentive.

All in all a lovely stay. One must have this experience. The spa packages, hot tub, music in rooms(minus the outrageous fees), the view of the golf course from your room, and the property overall has a wonderful charm all in its own.

16OCT.2024 Birthday celebration here and had a wonderful time on the resort. Elegant night and delicious food.”

“Just stayed here again. This time for 5 days. The rooms and beds and comfortable and clean. The breakfast is only cereal, bagels and yogurt but they make GREAT coffee. Plently of hot water and the staff is very helpful. The manager Scott even showed me how to fix the GPS on my phone and make it work again. AND the price is very resonable.

Rooms: Nice room and very clean.”

“Late night check in, night auditor very friendly, professional, inquire if I have BW rewards or other for discount. I was very tired having driven 300 miles, but, being treated with pleasantry really meant a lot to me.”

“I came here purposely to write a review because the other bad reviews made us ALMOST miss a great hotel for a good deal!! Some of the reviews said this place was uninhabitable!!

But first, I must bring something important to attention, which will most likely explain why some people leave great reviews and why others leave terrible ones :
this is an HISTORIC building. We aren’t talking your run-down- sketchy-motel that should be torn down. I mean, this is a building with rich history and much of that is preserved in its design. They even have a “ museum” explaining the history in the lobby. For people who complained about “paint jobs trying to cover up cracks on the walls”, etc- you can’t just tear down all the walls in a place with this kind of rich history. From the outside- you can just see by the moldings , the structure, and even the doors- that they tried to keep a lot of the original build which is beautiful. Too many companies just tear down everything and don’t preserve the history. They did a good job of keeping the integrity of the building while also modernizing it for guests. if you’re gonna get upset by some cracks in the wall and how they tried to cover up some of these old parts of it, while not just tearing it all down, then this isn’t the hotel for you

I will say, that some points in those reviews were reasonable. Some “ cons” that I agreed with are:
- not all of the towels seemed all the way clean. I saw the cleaning room in our hall and very clearly you see loads of towels going through their washers and dryer. I can’t think of what would lead to this problem- maybe management should look into scheduling /organization of the rooms ? They seemed super friendly and “ ready to work.” They didn’t seem lazy or incompetent so this must be some logistical error . In my opinion.

- toilet was a tad outdated but it was nothing gross and nothing unreasonable
-the smell someone mentioned ( of oil cooking and food ) is because I think the owners of the hotel also own the resteraunt in it ( which is stunning as well) and they serve Indian fusion food. It didn’t bother me. I’ve been in hotels that smell like mildew or mold and I’m highly allergic to mold and get nauseous just from walking in a room with it. I did not at this hotel. I only smelt it once I got closer to the actual restaurant, but we couldn’t smell it from my room
- yes the door was alittle hard to push open but it locked and sealed fine.
- there were two plug in outlets in the lamp. They should invest in at least one usb input

PROS
- we checked in at an odd hour after midnight but before 7 AM. We did not have to check out at 11 AM and could stay that night. This was the only hotel in the area that would do that for us. Check-in was easy.
- clean, do you want me to come up do you want me to come up? beautiful furniture, not “ cheap”, nice new carpets, pretty molding along the wall plus stucco both in hallway and room. All updated renovated bathroom, sparkling tub/shower area.
- comfortable beds. I have lower back pain from post partum and I’m super sensitive to beds.). I was surprised by the soft cushion feeling of the bed. The bed covers were comfortable and soft and did NOT have that cheap feeling of a cheap motel linens. Although it wasn’t as luxurious as Hilton sheets, it was just as comfortable as my sheets at home. They gave you plenty of pillows . I also love how thick the comforter was which is a rare find at any hotel .
- great lighting . A/c and heat worked fine. No weird smells coming from the unit like in some hotels.
- layout. Even though you have outside access to each building, you can still access the main lobby& breakfast through all of these buildings- without having to walk outside.

Overal:
Some people act like they were on all fours scouring the baseboards looking for any sign of something not right. THIS ISNT THE HILTON!!! If you ”
