“This boutique hotel is so unexpected and such a great value. The entire theme of Edith Bolling Wilson, first lady of the 28th president of the United States, is so well done. Her love of orchids, bourbon and canaries is obvious with the choice of art work, the hotel restaurant, and the rooftop lounge (The Perch in honor of her love of canaries) The wonderfully scented shower gel that is provided, and shampoo and conditioner makes it so convenient to pack lightly. Keurig coffee machines in each room and views of the Blue Ridge Parkway only adds to the specialness. Exceptionally clean and and amazing walkable town. One of my favorite places to stay!”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my recent stay on July 29. The night/morning guest service representative or manager was very accommodating, helpful, and efficient with high levels of customer service and ensuring a welcoming stay for me. This was much appreciated, given that I had driven several hours, was extremely tired and had several more hours to travel to my destination of Michigan. Also, the breakfast selections were awesome. I appreciated the care that the kitchen service worker took to prepare the tasty selections and keep the area organized, well-stocked and sanitized. She also was accommodating to what I needed, without me having to ask. Breakfast servings were adequate, freshly prepared, and very good. Overall, this location (lobby, rooms, hallway, and bathrooms) were very clean, tidy, and pleasing to the eyes. I could not find one spec of dust--and yes, I looked. And one more thing--that bed, the pillows and linen made such a comfortable stay that it was extremely hard for me to leave! My only suggestion would be to increase the lighting at the desk area or add an extra lamp. All in all, this Comfort Inn truly lives up to its name of comfort. My only regret is that I did not get the names of those two workers that I hope I have adequately described.

“The hot tub was nasty. Absolutely not usable.
The pool area itself was a sauna. Entirely too hot, the water of the pool was the same temp as the hot tub 90 degrees.
Other than that wonderful place.
Rooms: King suite with jacuzzi seemed to be clean and nice size.”

Food and drinks: We had food delivered from the Italian Garden. All we had was delicious. Service was great.”
“Picked this hotel for a special reason and we were not let down. Normally we would by pass this one but are thankful we booked it. The place was very clean outside,inside and our room. Everything was convenient and the employees were very nice. We do travel an awful lot and we can say this hotel’s breakfast was one of the very best we have encountered. We indeed will book this hotel again in the future.”

Rooms: The room was great! Super clean! Roomy and the bathroom was great! A lot of room and big walk in shower! Very clean! They even have extra pillows in 2 draws! The best was super comfortable! I would definitely come and stay when I was not working! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! We had about 20 people in our group for work and everyone said the same thing fantastic hotel and the rooms are great and the breakfast was great! Me and our whole group would give this hotel 5 stars??????
Nearby activities: Not to sure about the activities I was here for work but there is tons of things around this hotel!
Safety: Perfect setup for wheel chairs and whatever else is needed!
Walkability: You could if you wanted to! You look down and you can see all the stores down the hill to the right!
Food and drinks: The breakfast was fantastic! I was here for work to help the power company to get people’s power back on so I had there breakfast it was great! There is also tons of food places around and different stores! Anything you would need right down from the hotel!”

“Wonderful stay experience. Front desk was very helpful & accommodating. We got everything we need. Clean room with comfortable beds. High Speed free wifi, delicious food & drink from onsite restaurant & bar, also we got entertainment by playing pool table & game machines at motel. Nice location with easy access form major highways. In the morning we enjoyed free breakfast. Everything under one roof. We really loved our stay.

“Wanted to be in VA for the last leg of my journey. Found this LOVELY place, quite by accident, and I’m very glad I did. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. They have a fire pit but the winds were too strong to have a fire during my stay; however, the owners dropped off ingredients for s’mores which we prepared in the microwave much to my granddaughter’s delight! CLEAN ROOM!”
