“Passing through the area between photo-shoots, and came upon this gem. Initially we went inside to stock up on snacks, but discovered the kitchen and cute 'lil dining area in the back and we just had to stop and sit a spell! The cook, Madison, turned on the tv for us and we watched Gunsmoke while she prepared our food. And the food? Par excellence! We complimented Madison on her skills, but she wouldn't hear any of it. Well Madison, you DO bring it with your skill-sets and we will be back to try your steak! If you're in the area, you owe it to yourself to give Flat Rock Country Store a try! The people are kind and helpful, and the food is awesome. :-) In my travels across the country as a photographer, I've come to realize that when you enter a store like this with weathered wooden floors, you're usually in for a special time.
