My wife, Joy, has been a member of HFCU since around 1970 and we have never met an individual who has been so knowledgeable, attentive, responsive and courteous to our needs and questions as Ms. Re.Others have tried to help but have often had to transfer us to one or another more experienced person. When we reached Ms. Re, she not only was able to answer our questions immediately, or refer us to the appropriate person (who answered us right away), but made very educated suggestions about how to transfer some of our savings into accounts with better returns and do the actual transactions for us.I understand Ms. Re has been ill for a while. When we attempted to contact her and were unable, we felt very much at sea. When her health improved, she contacted us and took care of our requests right away.We hope she will be better soon and be able to continue for many more years with HFCUShe is so good and should have a well-deserved raise!Sincerely, Michael and Joy Greene”

“Our family has been with the State Department Federal Credit Union (SDFCU we call it) for decades. We get good service by phone and email. Then I needed go in person to a branch. I chose the Clarendon branch in Arlington, VA. The assistance I received was unparalleled. I learned how to better access the joint account with my mother, got good answers to several questions, and came away with two pages of checks to carry us over until the new checks arrived. A couple of days later I ran into another challenge online. Since I had the business card from my in-person visit, I left a message about the problem, and received a call-back explaining what happened, and then got help fixing it. Good service is alive and well at the Clarendon Branch of the SDFCU. It put the smile right back on my face. Plus: It's in a lovely location. There is easy parking (I chose underground parking for the usual fee), local eateries all around, and a Trader Joe's across the street.”

(One is located in my building I work in, very convenient to just walk downstairs) They're just located on a military installation. So if you don't have a military/government Identification. you will not be allowed access on the base. I've had wonderful service with both of them. The one located in the Navy Exchange is open until 6pm Mon-Fri and 5pm on Sat. You really can't beat that!”
