“Manaal Mahmoud continues to be an outstanding Branch Banker since arriving to the McLean Branch in July, 2025. She has assisted me with my various banking needs. She is a valued member of the team. Best”
“I went to capital one today highly stressed because the 1800 customer support could not provide me with a “bank verification letter” that my other bank was requiring for a bank to bank transfer. Miss RANIA assisted me today with a great amount of patience and was able to provide me with what I needed. Clean bank. Not a ton of foot traffic . Great staff . Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“I've banked with them for ten years now for my small business. Highly efficient and very helpful staff at this branch.
Referring to the 'sexist' policy at Citibank in another review, I've had that experience with their HQ which appeared to be based in TX when I applied for my line of credit. The TX guy met me online, and cut the line of credit that my branch manager had offered in half, no explanation. (None needed! I went to another bank and got it, you clueless person.) But the staff at this branch is nothing but polite and profesional, and fast, which I value highly.”
“I would like to sincerely thank Shefali Shah for her outstanding service and professionalism. She was extremely helpful, patient, and took the time to explain everything clearly and respectfully. Her positive attitude and dedication made my banking experience smooth and stress-free. It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely cares about helping customers the way she does. Thank you, Shefali, for your excellent support and exceptional customer service.”

“Mr. Hashmatullah Sangar is an exceptional person, and I’ve been coming to him for the past four years. I waited more than four months for an appointment because my family, friends, and I truly trust him with our financial information and value his personalized advice. There is no doubt that he always works with our best interests in mind. Thanks to his guidance, my friend and I were able to obtain new credit cards, and he also referred us to the home buying process, a dream for many people. I highly recommend him, and I can confidently say that Bank of America is a great place to bank with.”
“i have been to other chance banks.. but this location is the best, every time i go to this location.. Monica always has a smile, always great help and understanding.. it’s hard these days to go anywhere to see an employee with a great attitude.. the 5 star is for Monica..”

Everyone at this branch is friendly, professional, and willing to help. The office environment is comfortable, welcoming, and trustworthy.

“I have been an HSBC Premier customer since 2012; and initially had selected them, due to their unique Global View capability, allowing one to view online and manage accounts in different countries, that HSBC services. I started in the USA, at the Vienna VA, branch and was blown away by the welcome and service I received by John - the Manager - who went overboard to assist me in setting up both USA and overseas account.
At the overseas branch, the same service excellence and hospitality, and BTW - I am an average business person, and not a high net worth individual - but have always been treated as such.
Fast forward to this year, and my visit to HSBC’s Tysons Corner Branch Office. This was a full court press welcome - Sarah, Abel, Po - cold water, espresso - and expedited service for multiple needs that I had. The hospitality was 100% genuine, and it validated my “global culture of excellence” verdict for HSBC. If you are looking for a global reach bank - they are truly the best (and yes, prior to 2012, I had been banking with over 6 other US and global brand name banks)”
“Friendly, patient and helpfull agents.
Mr. Mac (Muhamed) Amer and Mr. Alberto Vergaraiv took the needed time and explained all the details and answered to all of my questions, step by step.
Thank you very much for that.
Only 1 issue are disturbing, but it is a bank procedure, not related to the branches team:
As a non citizen, I can not initiate a new deposit (CD) via the app or online or via tell.
I must be present physically at the branch, which does no make sence while the bank does allow me to send funds outide of my account to any 3rd party via the app or email plus confirmation call(which is great methode).
I want to further send funds to my Private Client account but I am on long vacation so the next time I can visit the branch will be on few months and it is a waste of money just to have sums at the account and not in a CD with better interest.
Many thanks again to the team at the branch, you are doing very good job!”
“Went there to take care of my account rollover to Schwab. The staff (forgot to ask for his name) at the front desk was so professional and he made things so easy. I went in with a check from my previous account, and a few minutes later I was out with the check showing up in my Schwab balance.”
“Customer service going from Suntrust to Truist has changed. With Suntrust, all my accounts were linked, I had automatic overdraft protection, and I could transfer money between my accounts with the app or online. When I had a more complicated question, the fastest route was to call the 800 line and get connected within 6 minutes. NOW, my accounts are not linked, overdraft protection is not automatic, and the text alerts I enabled on my account are not working. The 800 line is useless, should you have the fortitude to persevere on the phone for an hour to get connected to a person. The best recommendation for help from the 800 representatives is to go into the branch. I can't fathom the business decision to send people physically to the bank to get questions answered: it seems like that would be more costly for the bank than the call center option. I find it less convenient for me, since I have to make the trip and wait in the lobby to get help now, instead of being able to multi-task and get things done at my desk while I call in. The people at this branch are friendly, competent, and willing to help. Good branch, though I haven't found the time to go in and try to link my accounts, nor to address the overdraft, nor to address the text alerts. I went in to get my app working, in the brutal 2 weeks after the switchover when my accounts were not available. Seems silly to go to a bank to get your app working but that was what had to happen and it worked. The issues have arisen one by one since the bank has switched over, and solving the issues lags their appearance by more than a month, since I have to clear time during banker's hours to go to the bank, in order to re-secure a service that used to be automatic. The larger bank has changed, dramatically, and reduced its convenience.”
“Not sure why the reviews are so bad anytime I've come here with my experience has always been great! The people are honestly very nice. I really do like coming to this Bank!”
“Always very helpful and friendly, both with account transactions and with foreign currency exchange. Namrata in particular is very professional and always willing to assist.”

“I'm not sure which department is appropriate to send this note to. If this is incorrect, please forward my note to the right person.I am writing to commend Doris Re. My wife, Joy, has been a member of HFCU since around 1970 and we have never met an individual who has been so knowledgeable, attentive, responsive and courteous to our needs and questions as Ms. Re.Others have tried to help but have often had to transfer us to one or another more experienced person. When we reached Ms. Re, she not only was able to answer our questions immediately, or refer us to the appropriate person (who answered us right away), but made very educated suggestions about how to transfer some of our savings into accounts with better returns and do the actual transactions for us.I understand Ms. Re has been ill for a while. When we attempted to contact her and were unable, we felt very much at sea. When her health improved, she contacted us and took care of our requests right away.We hope she will be better soon and be able to continue for many more years with HFCUShe is so good and should have a well-deserved raise!Sincerely, Michael and Joy Greene”

“i have to say so far this has been the best bank for me. (backstory i know some of you will relate to, so this review is for you): i've hated every other bank specifically because of weird things they slip into overdraft fees. an example would be how wells fargo and then bank of america started itemizing purchases from most to least expensive, specifically to target poor people *looks in mirror, hey that's me!* who will sometimes purposely overdraft close to payday willing to eat the cost of an overdraft fee covered on payday because whatever we need is that important. one time i did this calling a taxi to get to work because i had looked at the wrong week's schedule and found out when i was already late i was supposed to work. no time to walk. that was my overdraft, which literally would pay for itself. except bank of america went back and itemized the entire cycle so it pulled $50 worth of small purchases and tagged everyone with an overdraft fee, instead of the one large calendar day overdraft. 'twas now impressed. when us bank started throwing similar shade i migrated to chase, and to be honest i didn't even know i had no overdraft fee on the account. i just knew i was done with us bank. (in case you're curios, us bank's faux pas offense was after years without issue they suddenly started not showing instant POS purchases on the online banking and then told me i needed to learn to balance a checkbook. oh noooo...) i remember chase offering overdraft protection and the fee for that and me telling them no, sometimes i overdraft on purpose and i'm fine with paying that one fee if you don't start itemizing. months later i finally overdrafted and inquired when i didn't get a fee. they looked it up and said it was probably just a one time get out of jail free perk. then i overdrafted again, and still nothing. then there was an issue where i got double charged at a store i go to very frequently, and the cashier remembered the transaction clearly and agreed with what i said happened and was in communication with the head manager because he said usually what would happen is if i call the bank, they can process the return quicker because they'll do it right away and when they get the confirmation from vendor, it's already been paid. so i got my refund and then weeks later they took it back and said i got refunded twice. i was like, oh my god, have you even looked at my statement--you can literally see the money got put in and then taken away without anything else being put in. so that made me bristle. i tried chime because my friend and i would get a bonus if i signed up through him and set up direct deposit. no overdraft fees and a spot me feature that obviously held appeal for me. said tons of locations where you won't get charged the secondary fee for pulling from another bank. this was important to me because some bills need to be paid with money order. if you ever lived in downtown LA and owned a car, you've battled with the meter maids and gotten on low income payment plans and you know what i'm talking about. the problem with chime is i went to several of their approved atms in LA and i got that secondary fee anyway. back to mainly using chase.... then i find out capital one has 360 checking. GAME CHANGER. of note, i am speaking specifically as an Angelino on this part, who lives walking distance from the capital one cafe, so i can pull straight from their own atms. no fees. first or second. mind blown. stuff that everyone can love: no overdraft fees. down side is you can't intentionally overdraft with small purchases, but plus side is if it's an autopay, it won't pay it, but it will keep trying until your deposit comes in and clears it. there was one time it happened with a larger bill where i thought another large bill had already cleared. they said they didn't pay it, but i never got notice from the bill i was paying, or late fees, because as soon as my next deposit cleared it autopaid anyway. saved me a lot of trouble. and”
“The folks here at the United Bank are very friendly and knowledgable. Always helpful but not extreme. Down to Earth people. Appreciate being a banking customer of theirs!”
