“I purchased a STIHL chainsaw from here, I was disappointed when it arrived with significant cosmetic damage. I notified the staff and they immediately reached out to STIHL about getting a replacement, no questions asked. Despite most of STIHL's saws being backordered, Pleasant's was able to find and secure a brand new saw and had it for me within a week.

They go above and beyond for their customers and the service is great, especially Jason Cox who is in charge of all things STIHL. He went the extra mile and was very responsive throughout the whole process. They just earned a customer for life!”

“I never write reviews, but I needed to write a review about a phenomenal experience I had in the blinds department with Merrick. As someone who has worked in retail service and retail management for many years in my past, I know how rare and hard it is to find employees who are dedicated to delivering excellent customer service. I had quite the dilemma and issue with some blinds, and Merrick was one of the most helpful employees I have ever encountered. You can tell by first interaction with him that he genuinely cares about serving and helping people. Not only is he immensely educated and knowledgeable about his department, but his skill and precision to his craft is phenomenal. He treated me and my father like long-time friends upon first interaction. You could feel how much he wanted to assist and help us in or situation. Keep in mind this was in the evening at the end of his shift as well. He is a phenomenal team member for this Home Depot location to have. I would strongly recommend this location to hang onto him.

Even after he was done serving us, he immediately rolled into the next set of customers who were also waiting for his assistance with the same level of service with a desire to help them as well.

“We had a great experience with Cross Creek building our new patio. The crew, Gelo, Orlando, and Jose, were outstanding. They were professional, hardworking, and incredibly respectful throughout the entire project. They paid attention to every detail and really went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right.

Owen, the project manager, was also excellent to work with. He communicated clearly, kept everything on schedule, and made the process smooth from start to finish.

“I love you Sneed's, thanks for the Christmas cheer. Yes, obviously the trees are *slightly* pricier here but it's very silly to complain about a small business not being able to compete with a corporation like Lowe's in the age of Temu trash and AI slop. I'm beyond grateful there are small businesses to support and the price difference is MORE than worth it because their trees are healthy, fragrant, and beautiful, even the ones with sparse branches. All the employees are incredibly kind and helpful. When we arrived, I got a lesson on all the different types of trees (I did not go with an Old Fashioned this year bc I'm nostalgic for Firs but they're gorgeous and I might give it a try next!) The person who trimmed and loaded our tree did an amazing job and happily accepted my special request, and the cashier in the extremely cute and festive Christmas cottage was really nice too. I left in such a great mood with maybe my best tree yet. Thank you.”

“Beautiful shop to treat yourself to a few exotic tropicals, philodendron red, black and gold philodendron etc.

Or feast your eyes on a variety of mini to large orchids. There were some mini orchid colors I hadn't seen at other local stores, such as pale creamy yellow, chocolate, etc. 4 pack of annuals is around $3.99 (as of 6-8-24) great variety!

Many vines as well such as moonflower, rudbeckia (black eyed Susan vine), and clematis.

A few natives plants such as Mountain mint but majority of outdoor plants are non-native annuals. All their plants look super healthy too which is very impressive considering the volume of plants offered, everything looks extremely well cared for. To me, this is a Hallmark if a business that is invest in offering healthy plants to the public and tending to it's inventory. Also extremely supportive in yes. Of offering care advise and friendly. I am adding this local beauty to my saved favorites to visit in RVA when I get another itch to purchase more house plants. Many are outside so I'm curious to see how it transforms over the seasons. This would be a beautiful place to meet for a plant club or series of classes that provide the public with a resource to learn more about caring for tropicals and exotics (even orchids). A new gem, to find for me in the RVA area.”

“The staff was great. I brought in an EGO battery operated weed wacker from home. They told me to bring it in even though they did not sell this particular weed wacker. As a novice to weed whacking, the staff showed me how to take the string trimmer apart and which trimmer string to buy. They also showed me how the weed wacker should be re-strung and directed me to a you tube video for specifics. After watching the video at home, I was able to re-string my weed wacker and start trimming my yard that afternoon. They didn’t have to do this. The staff is just genuinely kind and knowledgeable enough to help people out, unlike the help I’ve found at Home Depot and Lowe’s.”
