“My fiance bought us a terrarium making class for our anniversary and it was such a fun activity! It was harder than either of us expected (lol). Our class included 4 succulents or cacti. I suggest choosing smaller size plants because it is a tight fit in the terrarium. Also go slow, take your time, and don't be afraid to switch up plant placement before moving forward with decorations. Overall the class was so fun and I loved all the goods they had for purchase including deliciously smelling candles. I highly recommend Plant House!”

“This is a lovely nursery. I purchased an asiatic jasmine here. It’s thriving. The employees are welcoming. Seems like a place with a lot of love put into it. I’ll be back”

“Not only did Pleasants have the obscure sized nut that Lowe's didn't carry, but John rethreaded it on my old bolt and only charged me the price of the nut, 85 cents! So kind. So helpful. Thank you!”

“Great little hardware store tucked away near Libbie/Patterson. I've personally mostly used them for making copies of keys and they do a far better job than Lowes or Walmart IMO. It doesn't hurt they are next to Pearls Cupcakes either.”

“Fantastic selection of indoor and outdoor plants, and a wonderfully helpful and friendly staff. It's so easy to lose track of what you wanted, spend half an hour wandering around, and accidentally buy a handful of unexpected plants! Also, big big BIG shout out to Steve for his wealth of knowledge, for sharing his love of pieris, for taking the time to help me gather up everything I needed and get it all situated for a next-day pickup, and for just generally being a rockstar!”

“Although it was late in the season, December, I was looking for some fresh plants for my porch, a couple of indoor plants and some rosemary. I stopped in this small nursery to take my chances, as I didn't want to go to a "big box" store during Covid. Although the inventory was scanty, they had everything on my wish list!! I found pansies (my brother says that they're a misnomer - they should be called sturdies or toughies since they last through the winter, anyway...) in many colors, purple, white, blue, yellow & orange and some Dusty Miller for my front stoop. I also found a Crispy wave Japanese fern & a Christmas cactus for the house, and the helpful woman at the shop even found my rosemary (only a few left) ! How serendipitous! I saw shelves of succulents that tempted me, and some gorgeous poinsettias, which I will go back for shortly! So if you'd like to support a small, local business, plant yourself here!”

“I usually frequent the Short Pump location on Broad. I went into the Mechanicsville store planning to spend about 20-30 mins rummaging and leaving, but got help immediately from an associate, Brian (great service!), and ended up staying, talking plants, and grabbed two pothos along with a beautiful bright pink Cordyline Fruticosa, aka, Red Sister. Brian literally helped me pick the perfect plant, and was super patient with my corny jokes ?.Based on this service alone, I will be back for sure. Everyone at the checkout was also friendly as heck, and I never felt rushed. Extra points for Brian helping me to my car, as I'm currently in an arm sling. Great experience, and a stone's throw from my place in Shockoe, which is a plus. Ya'll rock!”

“Cheapest place to get a key made. Unlike the kiosk that costs 10 bucks to ship your key later on, you will leave with your copy right then! Makes much more sense if you ask me.”

“Tried the online pickup for the first time and I have to compliment Walmart on the usability of the App and the seamless pick up process, not to mention the young man that brought out our order was incredibly friendly and polite.”

“We received excellent service from Pauline at the customer service desk. There was no one working appliances so we had to place an order with the customer service desk. Then we found out the Home Depot system couldn't accommodate using both gift cards and a promotional code, so after the purchase Pauline called the bank on our behalf to ask them to apply our promotional code for special financing. She was very transparent about the limitations of the system and was still persistent to make a great deal happen for us. Thank you so much Pauline!”
