Amherst Auto & Tire is a very honest and dependable mechanic shop. They provide excellent repair work and are real automotive mechanics, not just replacement part mechanics. They are very knowledgeable for both older and current automotive repairs. The team is top notch and took great care of a customer during a difficult situation far from home, performing serious repairs at a great price. They fixed a significant engine problem and the vehicle ran smoothly afterward. They also handle services like trailer hitch installations quickly and for a cheaper price than quoted. For simpler issues like a nail in a tire, they provide fast fixes, taking customers right in and completing patches in less than 15 minutes. The staff is nice and gives updates as they work. They are a place to trust, going out of their way to help even when other shops would not. All around, it is as good of an experience you could have, making them a highly recommended go-to mechanic shop.
Had a really great experience here! It's hard to find an honest auto shop, but this one definitely earned my trust. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend them to anyone!
