As with the location on Forest Rd., the people here are always friendly, and they have a decent selection of men’s clothing (every thrift store I’ve been to definitely leans more into the women’s section ??♂️.) Found a few things to bring home and will absolutely go back :)”
“I really enjoy this 2nd hand store. One of the few that has a yarn bin! Clothing is well organized, good variety, and good range of shoes. Very well organized. They are often very busy- don't be surprised if you need to park next door and walk over during their peak hours. Every staff member I've talked to has been very nice.”
“I have been a patron of On Second Thought for over 5 years, and I have stumbled over incredible finds, both houseware and clothing. However, I have to express two critiques that have impacted my patronage. Firstly, I find the decision to not have a customer bathroom in the new location to be a significant issue. When your location is isolated and requires a car to access, a bathroom is a way to improve customers’ shopping experience. I have on numerous occasions had to cut shopping trips short or pass on items I was excited to buy as I needed to leave to go to the bathroom and wasn’t able to go back. Secondly, I have noted that almost every employee is dismissive and brusque. I have on many occasions felt as if they are resentful or angry at their customers and I have stopped consigning and instead just buy as I find the judgment I have experienced from those sorting through my items stressful. I love the offerings of your store, but the customer service and atmosphere elements could be improved.”

“Huge but I couldn't stay and walk around as I got really tired and had a toothe ache. But they have great discounts everyday. This is one of those places where people were lining up at the doors to get in but it's so big it didn't matter. I wish I was in better health so I could enjoy some of the goodies abound in centra virginia..”
“The ladies at checkout were very nice and helpful. There was a good selection of clothing and household items. I came in looking for just a simple, low-cost night stand and I found one. $4. Took it home and hit it was some wood spray paint (by my own choice not because it needed it). Worked our great. Left with a lightly worn pair of Nike 270's as well for cheap.”
