“Girl named Alexis (I think…?) was really dope??? helped me find some stickers I wanted and got me some free ones and gave me all kinds of good advice on the clothes inside. Preciate you !”
“JONAISA DESERVES A RAISE!!! She was very helpful with helping me find my daughter a dress and helping with putting it on. Will definitely shop there again. Thank you!”
“After 4.5 years of feeling like less of a woman, I was encouraged to visit the Newport News store. I met with Sandy. She was so very kind and patient and compassionate. She took her time to help me find the perfect bra and prosthesis. I walked out holding my head high and feeling confident. I finally feel pretty again and more like myself. I can’t say enough good things!”
“Man… Fort Eustis CIF? That place is like a thrift store for trauma and accountability. You don’t walk in there to shop—you walk in there to confess.
But let me tell you something: I’ve been through a lot of CIFs in my day. One in Germany made me cry in the parking lot. One in Texas tried to charge me for a camelback that never existed. But Eustis? Brother… that place is built different.
First of all, the staff? Saints. Chris, Zack, David—these guys operate like a NASCAR pit crew powered by sarcasm and low-sodium snacks. They ain’t there to ruin your life—they’re tryin’ to help you cross the finish line without getting charged $432 for a sweaty neck pad you haven’t seen since basic.
I showed up nervous. Had my IOTV strung together with hope and zip ties. Thought for sure they were gonna send me to CIF jail. But nah, they looked at me with those calm “we’ve seen worse” eyes. One of ‘em complimented my boots. Another one said my groin protector was “assembled with effort.” I almost cried.
The whole process was smooth. Organized. Respectful. I handed over my gear like I was returning a baby I forgot I had. They didn’t flinch. They just nodded and moved on.
Now don’t get me wrong—you still gotta clean your gear. Don’t roll in there with your rucksack smellin’ like regret and field chow and expect miracles. You show up respectful? They’ll treat you like royalty. You show up with moldy elbow pads and a bad attitude? That’s on you, private.
Five stars. Because CIF is supposed to be miserable. But this place? This place is like emotional healing in a warehouse full of lost dreams and hand receipts.”
“I bought a tee and some boxer briefs because I didn't want to leave empty-handed, but ON is not for me (64yo). Couldn't find any slacks loose enough for my taste. Nice store in general, though, and the cashier was very nice.”
“This is one of the nicest Afrocentric boutiques on the Hampton Roads peninsula. They have an amazing variety collectibles, clothing, accessories, decor and gift items. I alway go in to get one thing and come out with more?. The owner Audrey More is so pleasant and a joy to chat with. Go once and you will come back.”
“I received such lovely greetings and customer service while shopping in this store. The curlyheaded, lightskin cashier was very pretty and nice to me as she helped me find everything I needed. I love my new shirts, thank you.”
“Visited Newport News store. Nearly lost my mind...store is spacious and filled with many, many choices. A shopper's dream! Highly recommend that location!”
“Today miss Yasmine(hope I spelled correctly) was phenomenal to work with. She was very helpful and very polite, My son got upset in the store and out of nowhere she appeared bring smiles to my kids and catering to their interests asking what kind of stuff they like and showing them stuff in the store to theyre liking. Her customer service skills were amongst some of the most amazing I have seen in a longtime especially in this newer generation.
Yasmine if you read this thankyou and many blessings ?”
“I had an amazing time here a few weeks ago and only came for a jacket but ended up with 200$ worth of items! Kayla and Laren helped me pick out items, helped me with the different types of leggings, held items for me, put items back for me, and overall just made my time here 100x better.”
“To be honest, I don't shop here but was proud to see that American Eagle stood up to the Woke Left and still had the Sydney Sweeney ads up after the liberal backlash that occurred in the media.
Way to exercise your freedom of speech AE!”
“The store was very clean and organized. Also want to shout out Rhonda and Jamira (I believe) provided top notch customer service. They were so pleasant and patient and truly made our shopping experience that much better. We were visiting from out of town so I wanted to make sure to highlight these phenomenal women and the experience they provided. Thank you ladies.”
“I absolutely love this store! The items are good quality and last for a long time. I love the stand they have taken on doing things to save the planet. They donate to different charities and have reusable bags that are only $5. If that’s not something you’re interested in they offer a paper bag for .10 so be prepared for that huge expense ? So people be in there crying over that. The employees are nice and helpful as well.”
“I had the best experience with Erin today. She was so helpful and answered all my questions and I appreciate her not rushing me and just trying to push me out the door unlike some of my other experiences at this store.”
“Very friendly, helpful and all-around good vibes. Best place pretty much in this mall. The have a military discount and if you can't find it, online is a great place. My only wish is that there was more boy clothes.”
