“Only Asian store here although you can find several others further. I can get quite a fair bit of what I wanted. The stocks are not consistent thus at times to go there several times to check out.”
“I drive over an hour & 1/2 one way to get to this our closest Aldi. Love them & consistency of products with low prices. Always clean & well stocked with plenty of new products. Staff more than helpful & friendly. Even pet friendly when asked for permission for our small puppy to come in when really hot outside. Many thanks. See you monthly.”
“One of the biggest advantages of this Food Lion is the location. It’s right next to a bunch of apartments (mainly Foxridge), so it’s really convenient for college students to do their grocery shopping. One drawback is that they don’t sell gas and consequently don’t have a fuel rewards program. This makes it less appealing to students who drive a lot and might prefer somewhere else like Kroger. Nevertheless, it’s still a solid grocery store that students often shop at.”
“I just want to let you know that as a new resident of Blacksburg I am absolutely delighted to have the Food Lion within 2 miles of our home. You seem to have almost every item I need for my staples groceries and the produce is always fresh. But more than anything, I just love the young folk you hire as checkers and aisle attendents. I am a senior and when I have inquired about the location of anything your employees have directed me right to it or walked me right to it. When I have a big cart I always opt for full service check out since it is clear that your employees service my 30.items is faster than a ten item self-service checker. I am so pleased you employ enough checkers to make this option a great choice. As a senior citizen, I prefer the face-to-face interaction with the checker. Food shopping is a boring task but if you have a nice interaction at the end, as I have had with every one of your employees, it makes it something to look forward to. Although I only come in two or three times a week, I really love bantering with your young checkers. I absolutely love this store and the young folk manning the registers. Please pass on my praises. They make a chore into some thing fun and uplifting for a golden ager. Really love the young folks of the Food Lion!”
“I couldn't be happier with the food or the process. We hired Heathwood Market to do our wedding last weekend and it was incredible. They were easy to work with, they were priced perfectly and there was plenty of food for the whole wedding. They did a walk through the week of and met us at the venue. They were on time, the food was hot and they came later and picked everything up. I just can't say enough nice things about their professionalism and incredible food.”

“This store is so clean! I've been to over a dozen Walmarts up and down the eastern US, and this store was, by far, the cleanest. Kudos to the hard working cleaning crew!

“We really liked this Dollar General, we stopped ob our way through to pickup a few items and this was the first Dollar General Market we encountered. Very clean and well stocked store, from what we sometimes encounter. DG is our go-to when traveling as they stoclnour regulars, we hope to see a Market store in our home area soon.”
“I am writing this post because of one special employee, Bill! I have been helped in the produce section twice by Bill and I just think he is outstanding. He went out of his way to find the produce I needed right when I was dreading making second stop, he appeared out of nowhere after I left the produce section with the perfect English cucumber. I just wanted to thank him once more and let the Kroger team know how helpful he was to me. 3 cheers for Bill!!”

“The staff are great here. They'll answer questions or help you find an item without following you through the store. The layout is convenient and the store is always clean. I would give it 5 stars but their items are more limited than the store in Dublin.”

“Simply the best food we've had in a long time. The potato wedges are just like Wade's were when they were open. The chicken tenders and the BBQ sandwiches are to die for. The prices are very reasonable too. The store is soooooo clean as are the bathrooms and they have a huge selection of drinks to choose from. We love chatting with the people behind the deli since they do seem to love their job. Will always come back here on our way to Pearisburg!”
