“There are so many good shops to have furniture refinished in this area. But if the piece is really important to you, and you want it to be artfully repaired and restored, you really need to contact Monticello Antiques. They do museum quality work. We had a desk that had been in the family since the late 1700's. Monticello Antiques took great care of it for us. Note that there is another place with a similar name. You want the shop located at 227 W York Street. The phone is 757-622-4124”

“Very impressed with the organization and cleanliness here. They have a great selection that includes everything from antiques to brand-new mattresses. Even when it’s busy and the lines are long, the staff is efficient and keeps things moving. Competitive pricing and a friendly atmosphere make this a top-tier local shop. Just be careful in the parking lot during peak hours as it can be tight!”
