“Wonderful shop! The vibe is organic. You can buy scented body oils, which I purchase (Joop mixed women and men smells so fresh and clean), incense, authentic African garments, hair coverings (which is how I originally found them), creams, African jewelry, and more. I've been twice, and the brothers in there are professional and respectful. It's a peaceful and all love environment. I've been twice now. I travel from Scottsville- Fluvanna, VA, to go to Richmond to get my scented body oils. It's so worth the drive. I receive so many compliments on my oil. Thank you Shakoor's! “I rented a tux from here and we had several issues with Jim’s Formal that they were unable to reconcile. With less than 24 hours to my event, Sunil and his team were able to get a tux fully tailored for me for around the same cost of renting a tux. Great service, great experience overall. The tux’s that came in from Jim’s were absolutely awful and none of the sizes fit as they should have. I highly recommend just buying a tux from this place. It’s the same price and I was really impressed at how well it was tailored.”
“i have never really written reviews for places, even places i love and go to a lot, but it felt necessary to give this place 5/5!! i came in looking for a pair of safety toe boots for working jobsites. frank took the time to measure me, bring out a pair of boots to start with, and brought out other pairs i might like as i was giving input. i found the perfect pair for a great price!! frank is a really nice guy who didnt try to upsell or push something on me i didnt need and cared about me finding something that suited my needs and taste. please support local business as this is the sort of service you can only find at a mom and pop shop!! i will definitely be coming back when i need more gear!! thank you frank and the kitties!!”

“Erin was super helpful and very very kind. She greeted me and my sister at the door and asked if we were looking for anything specific. I told her I was looking for a dress for some pictures and she lead us to the most perfect dress, without even being in there a whole minute. Erin’s customer service skills didn’t make us feel like she was just doing her job, she made us feel like she was invested in finding me the perfect dress and even helped be tie it up. “A nice alternative to Barnes and Noble. When I first moved up here (pre covid) they seemed kinda expensive, but for what I buy their prices haven't gone up since, so now compared to the rest of the world they are affordable. Staff have been nice every time I've gone in. Their location changed, which I'm sure is confusing some folks because the old building still has the name up, so I've attached a picture of the front of the new building.”

“I have not done much if any in store shopping, since the COVID lock down. Today I was forced into going in store because my online order was cancelled. Upon entering the store I was warmly greeted by Hannah who would later assist me in the biggest way. My online purchase was rather large and she meticulously, throughly and kindly went through every item and walked throughout the store hand picking each piece. She even went a step further and priced matched every thing and ensured my purchase was seamless. No kidding, people like Hannah are 1 of 1. She was so thoughtful, charismatic, authentically cheerful and we had a very organic interaction. She truly made my day! She could teach a seminar on customer service and going above and beyond any day! You guys truly scored big with her!”
