“This is my absolute favorite place to shop in all of Richmond! There are so many talented local artists that sell their goods in this shop. There is also an excellent mix of vintage and antique items. I could literally spend two hours in this shop just browsing. The owner, Anne, is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Nanette, who also works there, is so kind and welcoming every time I visit. What Anne has done to support the local art community, is so commendable. You can tell she truly cares about every artist that is in her shop.”

“Absolutely love this place! I've shopped here for years but our experience yesterday was worth sharing. I took my mom out for her first shopping trip post a major surgery. It was the first pretty spring day so everyone was out and the store was packed. Despite the crowds, the owner treated us like we were the only people in the store. Never frazzled, going out of her way to help us find items that we were looking for and making calls to other locations to track down a shirt that my mom wanted. The service that we had yesterday will keep us coming back for years to come! Kudos to you all and thank you!”
“This place is really well curated. I’ve been to few shops in the south with this level of consistency in quality and beauty. The ones I recently visited in Charleston at this level were significantly more expensive. Of course that’s Charleston money, but the point is that most of these types of places are either junky or 1%’er money.
Walking through was a breath of fresh air.

Next to loads of other great boutiques and restaurants.Quality of offerings exceeded my expectation. Many options from tableware, a rainbow of candles, gorgeous hand embroidered and beaded brooches, cards, sun glasses, stemware, and French public works jackets in a variety of blues. Friendly staff. A fun shopping experience. I would go back and spend another 2 hours shopping! A perfect place to find a gift for yourself or friend!”

“The Glass Boat is one of my top 4 places that I like to visit when I am in Richmond, Virginia. They have an excellent selection of art, books, furniture, and clothes as well as small items that you can't find anywhere else. Each time I have come to the store, the staff and owners have been friendly, courteous, and helpful. Selection of goods is different every time. It keeps me interested in coming back. You should put this store on your must see list whenever you walk down Cary Street. Thank you for all the hard work it takes to run such a successful business.”
“This location was rather busy at 1: 30pm. The aisles were full of stuff to be stocked. I wish the Buck and a quarter store would have more than 1 register open when they are busy.
