The dealership even said that one was a safety issue and that I shouldn’t drive on highways because my steering could give out anytime. I called my dad for his advice. He said GO TO MEINEKE to get a second opinion and I’m so glad I did. The wonderful team at Meineke in Fairfax, VA, did a free and thorough inspection of my car and only recommended three services, totaling just shy of $800. They even checked the specific part the dealership said was a safety issue and saw no problem with it, assuring me that it wasn’t a safety issue at all. I’m starting to think that the dealership was just trying to scare me enough so that I’d decide to trade in my old car and buy a new one (instead of paying for repairs totaling more than the car’s value).
