“We were traveling s-l-o-w-l-y and carefully along this very curvy mountain road (and probably annoying the locals a lot)... needing gas but having no hope of finding it. When suddenly an Exxon popped up. My husband pulled in, filled up self-service and paid by card at the pump so we didn't see or talk to anyone...BUT we were very appreciative of your station and appreciate you being there. Thank you Exxon for helping us along our way on our mini vacay!! Your Georgia customers...”

“These folks are very very nice and do honest business. I came up there tonight to get propane to prepare for a winter storm and they walked me through the process and made sure I didn't get overcharged since I already had some propane in my tanks without realizing it. They are friendly and the business is family-owned and operated. I will gladly give them my business anytime.”

“I stopped to fill up with gas. Prices were higher than I’m used to in Carroll County but that is always true for Floyd County. The convenience store is well-stocked with a variety of snacks and drinks. The ladies restroom was clean. The cashiers were friendly.”

“Perfect for when I need the random thing I forgot and don’t want to run all the way out to Cburg! It is also clean and everyone I’ve met has been super nice!”

“Stopped in here after a day of traveling for some snacks and knick-knacks. It is very clean, and jammed to the brim with items, food and drinks. A lot of food seemed fresh and tasty despite me not getting some. The staff were very nice and helpful. It's a great gas station, highly recommend!”

“Everyone is super sweet and helpful, especially Riley. I've been having trouble with my credit card and have to use my phone for transactions. He restarted the machine for me since my phone want scanning. He was patient and helpful and didn't let me feel bad about it. Y'all rock! Everyone is still great, but the store opens at 5:30 and it's almost 6am”

“My favorite gas station in the area. Employees are incredibly nice, they’re always great to my toddler and it’s well stocked. Super easy to get in and out, and the vape section is well stocked with bigger name brands. 10/10”

“The guy that bought this store is 100% nicer and friendlier than the previous owners. If you need something and he doesn't have it, let him know he will get it for you!!! He's a very nice man for this neighborhood!!!!?!!”

“Wonderful service and store. Staff is always extremely kind and helpful. The store is always clean and tidy, as is the parking lot. I think some of the negative reviews may be confused about which Exxon location they are reviewing. This Exxon does not have a deli or any hot/cold prepared food aside from a small cooler with lunch meats, eggs, butter, and some prepared/prepackaged sandwiches. This gas station is top notch and I would highly recommend it.”

“Didn't go inside to see how clean it was. Outside looked clean. They need to replace the broken gas handles. It's limiting on which pump you need to go too. I'll still come here for gas.”
2655 Roanoke Street, Christiansburg VA 24073
“Clean store and restrooms, but the videos at the pump... oh boy. So loud and no way to mute. I had to hold my hand over the speaker because it was so loud. I won't stop there again for that reason. Surely you can add a mite button like other shell stations I've been to.”

“Average gas station & convenience store. The gas burns & makes my car go down the road, so no complaints. I usually just stop by to top off the tank and rarely buy anything else from gas stations. The staff have been attentive & courteous each of the few times I've gone inside.”
3250 N Franklin St, Christiansburg VA 24073
“Very polite store staff. The place was well stocked and clean. We stopped in for slushies for my grandchildren. I'm new to Virginia and hadn't seen a 7-11 since I lived in California.”
The Iowa retailer, the third-largest convenience store operator in the country, built its new three-year plan around three priorities: store growth, food and beverage expansion, and kitchen technology upgrades. The company plans to add 120 stores during the current fiscal year. Its previous plan, launched in 2023, delivered more than 500 new stores and earned the company a spot in the S&P 500.

Read the postTexas-born Buc-ee's is changing the way people think about gas stations and convenience stores. This chain is known for its huge stores along highways, some with over 100 fuel pumps. With its funny billboard ads, award-winning clean bathrooms, and branded items Buc-ee’s is hard to miss. The company wants people to actually plan to stop at Buc-ee's during road trips, not just go there as a last resort. And it's working - the chain has a huge fan base, with Facebook groups dedicated to Buc-ee's having hundreds of thousands of members.

Read the postLove's Travel Stops is rolling out a new system that turns work into a game for its restaurant employees. Picture this: Three big screens in each restaurant, tracking how fast workers greet customers, take orders, and hand out food. It's not just for show - early results say it's making service 11 seconds faster on average. "These monitors track key performance metrics in real-time, such as greet times, order processing times and the time it takes for food handoff," Love's explains. The system creates a more interactive environment, fostering friendly competition between stores.
