“Similar to other Dollar Generals there are usually things in the aisles, and the aisles are not super wide. However friendly employees and I can usually locate what I went in to get.”

“So I can here visit my son for his AIT Graduation and these place in this little mall wasn't bad at all and food was pretty decent nice chill vibe but definitely go to bowling alley they have 5 minutes from there enjoy your soilder make memories”

“Yes the dollar tree it's my go to store for household items, crafting needs,and now even personal items it almost a one stop shop image that even with 25 cent increase. They have it all and even name brand item you just got to look and you will see the treasures on the shelf. But some not all are messy and they do take in a lot of customers flowing into the stores and short staff like other businesses. But they are worth it. So stop by a DT and take a look.”
“We live so close to here but I always thought the place was closed. We were on a trip to the Virginia Beach area and forgot our leashes so we stopped to buy a roses. The prices were good there and that made me want to check this one. We have some kittens under the shed so I was searching for a cat toy and some treats to try to lure them out. Roses has some pretty nice stuff in there! I haven't been to one in 30 years! Go try it!”
“This store generally has a decent inventory for being a smaller store. Today they were out of everything I wanted of course but that was just d*** luck. My only complaint is they only ever have one cashier.”
“My go to stop love the workers in there they're always so nice and friendly! The only flaws sometimes the prices don't ring up as what they were on the shelfs! Not to worry the workers are always happy to fix it if it happens! But it can still snipe you sometimes if you're Unaware”

“I live down the road from here, so I go here pretty frequently. They have two self-checkout kiosks which I use all the time because this location is very understaffed and they're constantly firing and hiring employees. I rarely see the same person working here for long. The store is pretty easy to navigate, and employees will usually help you if you have any questions, but because of how inconsistent this place is, your experience could be different. It's a good place to get snacks and supplies and there's a gas station right beside it as well, so it makes for a great stop off of I-95.”
“Five stars for Tiffany the assistant manager she has made sure this will be my favorite Dollar General to come to her customer service off the chart. She definitely needs a raise to be able to connect with customers. There is a lot of Dollar Generals in the area but to be able to connect with a customer and have them return to one store you got a diamond in the rough with this young lady all praises to her. I will come here all the time for my purchases. Thanks to Tiffany. Kudos to you young lady.”

“Was just strolling around wanted to see about the Dubai chocolate primebite brownies.. they ended up closing at 6, me not paying any attention to time trying to walk in @ 6:05 lols. Mik understood I was on a mission and let me grab them. Knowing exactly where the new brownies were displayed, she was like over here!!! 45 seconds in and out I was able to secure the brownies! “The better of the Hopewell locations in my opinion. Has more options, and generally always stocked. Also doesn't have all the higher priced items I'm now seeing at other locations for $10+. Basically turning them into a dollar general vs a dollar tree.”
“Dollar general is a great store located in Dinwiddie. They sell everything from grocery items to
Health and beauty aids and much more. They sell household products. They sell cleaning supplies as well as toilet paper and paper towels. The store is very clean and the associates are very friendly and helpful. They sell all kinds of food products. Me and my fiance come here about once a day. They have great prices. I can always find stuff on clearance.

“I go out of my way to go to this dollar general because it is the cleanest and friendliest dollar general i have been to and i have been to many. only thing i would have bad to say is when they are stocking there is a mess they need to do a bit at a time i understand the cashier is also the stocker but one cart out at a time please makes it hard to get through the isle.”

Big selection of furniture and clothing items.
Bought my full living room suite here. It is Ashley furniture brand. I literally saved over $500 by buying the furniture here instead of at the Ashley Furniture Store in nearby Colonial Heights. They loaded it up on my truck. They don't offer furniture delivery so be prepared to bring your own truck or hire someone to pick it up and deliver it. I actually rented my own truck from the U-Haul nearby and they loaded the furniture up and I unloaded it with help at my place. I am very pleased with this Big Lots location and so far, the customer service had been good. I'm glad Big Lots reopened.”
