Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia is a nonprofit organization serving local communities. It is dedicated to changing lives through the power of work by providing essential job training and employment services. Reviews note that some locations have a decent or phenomenal selection of quality clothes, shoes, and household items, with some new or lightly used finds. Many staff members are described as friendly, polite, and caring. However, experiences vary by location. Some stores are very busy and crowded, with merchandise that can be picked over. A common critique is that prices are high, more than expected, or considered overpriced for some items, especially given that all goods are donated. While some locations are praised as a go-to spot, others are seen as less pleasant due to organization and crowding, though they remain convenient for many shoppers.
I told the cashiers this may be the best thrift store I’ve ever been to. Great prices, constantly rolling out good new stuff. Everything was organized wonderfully. I live in NC but would come back!

Visiting a friend in town and I needed a jacket. I didn’t realize it’s still chilly in April in VA. I found a great lightly used jacket that was 50% off! Great success! Selection was decent and friendly staff. I also found a board game in never been used condition.

Very well organized. Clothes and knick knacks organized by color.
