Last month I had to purchase a Dryer. All good from the helpful sales lady to the delivery professionals! The dryer works beautifully!
This month, June, I had to purchase a refrigerator. Same helpful sales lady, nice delivery professionals.
However, the unit has an issue. The outsides of the refrigerator are hot to the touch. It was plugged in about 8:30 am...and it's still hot at 7pm. I contacted Lowes early this afternoon. I received a call from Isaiah, Team Leader of the Distribution Center in Richmond. He said it's the compressor cycling to cool down...can take 24 hrs. He said it won't be a problem to do an exchange and said he'll call me on Sunday. He was very nice. Stay tuned for the outcome! I'm hoping the unit cools off and all is well!
PS: My 5 major appliances are all 19+ yrs old and all dying now....purchased 2 from Lowes in last 5 wks....and planning to purchase 3 more....very soon!

I went in to purchase a piece of wood and have it cut into 3 pieces. The clerk caught a really nasty attitude with me and didn't cut the wood properly. She then half handed the cut pieces to me causing them and my phone to drop on the ground. She wouldn't listen to what I was asking her to do. The manager refunded the wrongly cut wood and cut it himself to what I originally asked for. They gave me the wood for free and a Gatorade while I waited. I felt humiliated and agitated because of the mistreatment from the initial clerk, but the manager did the best he could to fix the situation. I never had a negative experience at this Lowe's before. Everybody is usually very kind and helpful. This one associate was just so awful she really just ruined my day. Hopefully she won't be there next time.

As a contractor who uses online ordering, they are improving their services. Lately most if not all items were picked correctly and ready for pickup when I arrived.

I mean I can’t really say that it’s anything other than your average Lowe’s.
Customer service is acceptable and the place is clean. Things are organized and easy to find. If you ask the staff a question they’ll help you, but won’t approach you to ask.

Lowe's always have whay I need and the central store where I've shop have majority items I need and that very important for me.

Terrible service, always out of inventory, never any carts available, be prepared to wait in line while 5 Lowe's employees stand around talking and only 1 register open. Would never go here if there was anything else as convenient which I guess would be there only positive thing to say about this store. Edited 7 years later. This store is even worse. I needed fence pickets for a job down town and this is all they had. After moving all these moldy boards I found a nest of termites. What is wrong with this place? It is always a fail. Hope I don't get sick from handling all this mold.

edit: you do not offer cashier service. every time I've been there for months there has been no cashier lane open.
