So easy! Van bypass waiting at the counter, select the car you want and drive away. Great when a flight is delayed, or just need to get on the road. Help is always there when you return the vehicle and the is so helpful with any questions or suggestions.

Love being an Emerald Club member!On my last trip our travel agent booked me with a competitor. It took over two and a half hours to get my car. I have NEVER had an issue with National! She now knows National or bust! Thank you!!

As always, National Car Rental has great service. I reserved a car online. Then I picked up a car, checked out, and returned with little to no time spent at the counter with an agent. I use National all the time and will continue to do so.

Excellent customer service. Very attentive staff Christian M went above and beyond assisting me with my quesrions regarding my invoice. I highly recommend them. As an Elite member amd constantly traveling Richmond airport has one of the best National car rental facilities.

I had flight delays that required a change of airports and car rental pickup/drop-off from RDU to RIC. Representatives were great in supporting throughout pickup/drop-off; The unfortunate issue is National has now charged me mileage $232 on an "unlimited mileage rental" when my total rental was to be $155. Not happy and praying they will make it right and correct this overcharge. The Rep. that changed my reservation stated she was unable to change the status to "one-way" from pickup/return at RIC as I had in my original reservation at RDU.

Poor integrity employees. Left item - headphones - in car that couldn't immediately be rented as a spare tire was on the car. I traded the car out and immediately drove to ORF airport for drop off car just picked up about 3 hours ago at Richmond airport. Immediately submitted L&F claim as the customer care in Norfolk did not want to call the Richmond location for me . There was no one at the counter, and they refused to call. Needless to say, I received notification that my article could not be located. Received notification a week later only after I contacted customer service via phone and filed a complaint. They should have known that a customer would be following up. Now, I am very clear that National Richmond airport employees will NOT return your lost item - Emerald club member or not. Internal theft is a real thing at the Richmond Airport location. Will be utilizing other rental car options.

Upon my arrival at the Richmond airport, I headed to the kiosk and patiently awaited my turn for approximately half an hour before I could speak with a representative. To my surprise, the associate informed me that my Emerald status meant I didn't need to endure the wait. Instead, I was instructed to proceed to the vehicle selection area, hop into the vehicle of my choice, and smoothly exit through the guard gate. Having not utilized National's services in quite some time, I had forgotten about this perk, despite frequently traveling back in the 90s.The Ford Edge I opted for turned out to be a remarkable midsize SUV. I enthusiastically shared images of its impressive features and sizable touchscreen with my wife, who is currently in the market for a new vehicle. Among the highlights, the comprehensive maps caught my attention, and I particularly relished the convenience of utilizing them. Syncing my Google Pixel 6 Pro phone with the car allowed me to effortlessly search for an address using voice commands on my phone, with the map seamlessly transitioning to the vehicle's expansive display without a hitch. This feature proved to be a significant boon, especially since I normally rely solely on my phone during trips due to the subpar performance of the Ford maps in my 2017 F150 Platinum at home.Returning the vehicle to the airport was a tad perplexing as I navigated through the car return signs, yet I eventually found my way back. An attendant was on standby as I arrived, and I handed over the keys. The attendant kindly assisted me in retrieving my belongings from the vehicle. The absence of a formal check-in procedure allowed me to promptly proceed to catch my departing flight. Undoubtedly, I will make it a point to leverage the expedited, no-wait process during my future rentals.

The Richmond desk was very busy. A sign said emerald members can go to garage. I skipped the line and after a short wait was directed to go to my reserved car. A gentleman helped me find the car. Upon return, I was welcomed by the checkin staff. He was also very pleasant. My overall experience was really good at this location from start to finish.

Started as a poor experience when a car we chose had “CEL” lettering on the windshield. We past through payment and then noticed the engine light was on. Before exiting we turned around and the go a manager who said this car should never have been in the line for rental. He immediately gave us an upgrade and apologized.

Car was good. Selection was good. The system that your employees use would not let them change details about the drop off location of the car or length of time of the rental once we picked it up. One of the employees had to start a whole new contract for us and it was $200 more expensive than it said it would be on the original contract. The old contract was erased and replaced with the new one so I had no proof. I have a good corporate code through Bayer that lowers the daily rate significantly if we plan it right. If there are any other problems in the future, we are done with National.

I had an amazing experience with the manager Isaac at National/Enterprise. He ensured I got the car I wanted and provided exceptional guest service. Despite it being my sixth rental at that location, Isaac's attentiveness and willingness to accommodate my preferences made a lasting impression. I don't usually write reviews, but his outstanding service deserved recognition. Highly recommended!

Great experience with the Richmond Airport National rental car folks. I had an incident during my rental and was taken care of quickly. Very friendly and professional staff and actually spoke with the main supervisor upon return of the rental.

I traveled extensively both for business and pleasure so I have to deal with car rental companies very frequently. The service I have received from National Car rental over the last 20 years is OUTSTANDING. Over the course of those years I have never had an issue that National’s staff have not been able to resolve for me unlike other car rental companies. I recommend this company to everyone because the service culture is second to none. It is almost impossible for a large company to guarantee a great experience, specially when it pertains to customer service. There are always employees, even if few, that are not cut out for that type of job. However, my experience with National is that even the most difficult of employees I have had to deal with have always been able to resolve any issue I may have faced during my rentals (upgrades, returns, car malfunctions, discounts, etc). I do not have first hand knowledge of the training they provide their employees about how to do their job effectively, but that training must be world class because the results are amazing. Thank you National.

National has officially become my Favorite Car Rental. Totally like the commercials!!!! Enter, Greeters and You Pick your style of preferred vehicle which has always been clean and updated vehicles. I love the Customer Service from start to return. Also great Company rates for your employees. I'm heading to platinum status and beyond!
