Pleasants Hardware has a new store on Hull Street and a location in Powhatan. Customers appreciate the great selection of gardening needs and just about everything. The personal service is top notch, much preferred over dealing with Lowes. Employees are very kind and welcoming. One customer accidentally left an item, and an employee called to set it aside. Another customer visited the Powhatan location and received tips from a former electrician that saved a bunch of money. Pleasants will have what is needed, and it is a great experience.

The friendliest place in town and they have popcorn. I like the polite attention you get when you first arrive. They know where stuff is and make good suggestions. Helpful. Not at all like the big box boys who go out of their way to ignore you. Pleasants is my new go to store.

This a beautiful, well-organized store with pretty much anything you could want in a hardware store. The service is exceptional!
