I have tried several of this type car wash and Riptide does the best job on my car. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Will damage your vehicle, gaslight you and refuse to fix it by claiming the damages already existed... Do not go here the management was rude and will gaslight any attempt to file a report, don't expect them to take any accountability or offer to repair it . They're are not in BBB and if you look beyond the 4.4 review on Google you will see countless others whom's vehicles were damaged and told by owner to go kick rocks

I've used this car wash several times. It was great when it first opened, but the last two times I went there, there were no clean towels in the self-service cleaning area in multiple bays. An attendant brought towels when I asked, but they were damp and streaked my windows. The basket for clean towels was broken off in my bay, but when I checked for towels in other bays, they were empty.
Plus, I didn't like the questions the attendant asked me. He asked me me if I wanted the monthly service, and when I said no, he asked if it was because of the price. I said no, it was just that I didn't use it enough when I had it. He then asked what zip code I lived in and what I was doing there, like he was surprised to see a customer there who could actually afford the monthly service.
He and I were the only white people in this busy place and I felt like he was calling attention to that fact that and wondering why I would go there. I live in this neighborhood. Why wouldn't I go there? It made me uncomfortable.
So this place is off my list now.

Friendly service above and beyond!! As a seasoned citizen, it was such a refresher to get the extra help that I needed while at this location.❤️

The brushes here scratched my vehicle and they said I came in like that and refused to repair it. They pulled up a grainy surveillance video that doesn't show anything and said it's nothing they did. Plus I had just got the car new the week prior this was the first ever wash. (Hand-wash your vehicle or go elsewhere)

I previously had this membership, then tried to cancel it because I rarely used it. They took months to cancel it and kept charging me.
I recently got a lower priced membership and brought my car a few times. The amount of new scratches and swirls on my car is so disheartening and disappointing. If you care at all about your car, do not use this car wash.
I’ve put in a request to cancel my membership again, we’ll see how long it takes this time…

Customer service rep today called my wife who had questions aboutour account. Her name was Meghan? This individual talked us into staying, we didn't want to pay 34.99 but she explained the prices for the other plans. Riptide is the best of the best. Hope to see more branch out in Richmond. Thank you Meg!!!!!

I need my truck cleaned yesterday afternoon, Sept 4, while visiting in Richmond. The gentleman who greeted and assisted me made my day! A lady charmer for sure, but he was kind and represented the company extremely well. Once my truck was washed, I used the excellent vacuums, pressurized air, cleaning clothes and products. everything was organized, clean and worked exceptionally well. I will be back when visit Richmond again!

My car was covered in bird poop. And I mean bad. I went to rip tide today mon the 8th at around 5pm. The wash didn’t get much of it as it was bad the heat had baked it on . They ran it through again. And the young lady and young man working there came out and personally helped me with my car. They didn’t have to. but completely helped me out. With my whole car. . Honestly the best service and kindness I’ve ever seen in Richmond and it was a car wash If any of the corporate people see this. You need to give them a raise.

I've been coming here since they first opened. Everything was working and associates were helpful. Now, their equipment and services have gone down hill. Today, I used the carwash, and had pulled up to a spot to vacuum my car. The coil of the hose was broken, so I went to another spot. I vacuumed my car and decided to top off the air in my tires. I connected the hose to my tire valve and no air was coming out and instead was deflating my tire! I unplugged it and walked all around the area to flag for assistance. I finally found someone and he said their whole system was down. I told him my tire has deflated. He walked over to my car and hooked the hose back into my tire valve and my tire just kept deflating. He unhooked it and said he can't help me and told me to go inside to speak to the manager. I went inside and no one was there. I flagged the attendant again and he went inside to get the manager. I told him my situation and he said there's nothing he can do. I asked him if he had a tire compressor. He said no. So how was I supposed to drive my car out with a deflated, passenger tire? Manager said, I can't help you and told me to have a nice day.
So frustrated at this point. I had no choice so I walked over to the Advance Auto next door to buy an air compressor. So needless to say, I will never go back here and do not recommend coming here.
This was around 5pm on Sunday. Walking back to my car from Advance Auto, there was an active shooting by DTLR/subway parking lot. A black charger who's windows got shot at, zoomed past me and crashed his car at the parking lot next to RipTide. Another reason to never come back here.
