Regular visitors return each year, drawn by the beautiful handmade pottery and the chance to find affordable pieces. Shockoe Bottom Clay is highly recommended for anyone looking to experience extraordinary talent, good vibes, and true southern hospitality.
I visited this gallery during NCECA earlier this year and it was the coolest place! Loved the atmosphere and variety of work. Everyone working there was lovely, and I enjoyed chatting with one of the artists, Jane Martin. I hope to find myself in Richmond again someday so I can go back.

They even allowed me to freely poke around and see how everything is made. Everyone was so nice and made me feel at home. True southern hospitality ❤️... read full comment
