Had to pick up a missed package that I had to sign for. My interaction with the clerk was pleasant and easy. Gerald is amicable and chatty with customers. He is certainly not the curmudgeon warned about in earlier reviews. I feel safe coming back to this place in the future.

New employee, new vibes. Give this location another chance so we don't lose it!

Since the fire that shut this location down for a few months, the unpleasant worker has left. There is a new postal officer at this location, Gerard. He is fantastic. He's kind, personable, and helpful. All the things Mr. unpleasant was not. It is now safe to use this location again! When I received an orange notice that a package was waiting - it had yet to arrive back from Brook St. Mr. Gerard took my phone number and CALLED ME! the moment it was available for me to pick up. This was a great kindness. I'm glad he's in our neighborhood.

The guy everyone was writing bad reviews about is no longer working here, according to a very friendly clerk. I asked him about it because he was so nice, in contrast to what I'd read. He went out of his way and stayed a couple minutes over into his lunch break to help me. I believe Gerald (mentioned in a more recent review) was his name. Literally the best USPS experience I've had, and I almost passed this location by because of the reviews I'd seen.

My usual was closed so I came over here to get a money order. It was my first time doing so, and the clerk Gerald was helpful, patient and kind. I will be going out of my way to go to this post office going forward! A really great experience!

I really hate leaving reviews for places like a post office or the DMV because you’ve got to be delusional to expect a positive experience, but this particular post office has a huge problem: the older male clerk.
First, I let him know that I needed to get a money order. He just stood there, so I waited for him to let me know the next steps since I’d never gotten a money order before. He said “I’m waiting on you.” Like, bro. How was I supposed to know that?
While I was getting the money order set up, another guy came in because he had received a notification that his package was being held at the post office at his request. I had received the same notification yesterday, so knew what he was talking about. The clerk then proceeded to tell him that a) Informed Delivery isn’t something USPS offers, b) USPS will never send him emails, and c) that he knows for a fact this guy’s package isn’t there. He didn’t even check. He did, however, interrupt him multiple times.
So I finished my money order, mailed out the envelope and then spent the next TEN MINUTES listening to this guy rant about religion. He was going on and on about Egyptian gods being the one true religion, how the LGBTQ community put out their own bible last year that ruined every other bible, that the Ethiopian bible is the only one that talks about consequences and how I need to learn THE TRUTH.
Absolutely buck wild. I just wanted a money order and to ship something out.

I have not received mail since 12/9 and informed delivery says in that time I should have received 6 packages, 10 pieces of mail. customer service said they would send an e-mail and forget getting someone on the phone. so disappointed with the usps, So by calling and calling I find out no one on the street is getting mail because one of my neighbors threatened the postman BEFORE Thanksgiving, so the post office is holding our mail, Saturday I went to pick up the 12 mail pieces and wait in line 40 mins to be told they only had the packages and no-one knows where my letter mail is. If I could rate them it would be -12

Avoid at all costs! Very upsetting experience actually. Terrible service, scolded by the agent who seemed inebriated. When I tried to explain about what he was chastising me for (listing a former and current address due to a move) he put his finger up and said “Not all things require a response”.
Environment was filthy. Bullet proof glass everywhere. No materials out so you have to ask the abusive agent for anything you need.
He went in the back and was swearing at someone either on the phone or in his imagination, then finally returned 15 minutes later to process my mail, which took three tries. I would have left but had rung up materials I needed to pay for. I really hope my package gets where it needs to go as it was very important. I ordered tracking so fingers crossed.
I would complain to the post office but afraid of retribution if this person gets word immediately of the complaint. I was the only customer there. Perhaps after the package is delivered.

Customer service was horrible. No one was at the desk when I arrived inside. I waited for assistance to ask for scissor, when the man approached after time he didn’t ask of I needed help, he just looked at me skeptically. He stated in an attitude that they don’t give out weapons. I said okay and packed up my package. I asked for tape and he replied, it’s 4 dollars. I politely said okay and turned around in which he said “damn, ya’ll act like the post office is supposed to provide everything.” I understand if it’s the policy, I simply don’t need extra commentary, especially when I don’t offer any confrontation from my end. When I told him I don’t appreciate the extra commentary and please stop talking to me. He continued to say “no, I can say what I want to say”. He is highly unprofessional and made the experience poor.

No idea how the guy who works here still has a job. As dozens of other reviews have mentioned, he’s incredibly condescending, rude, and generally miserable. I have to psych myself up every time before I go to this post office

There is never an ok experience here. The person at the front desk is so rude, condescending and unhelpful. He likes to preach about what you “should have done” and told me he prefers to “teach” people when I told him that he doesn’t have to talk to me in a bad way. I was literally afraid that if I said anything else, this guy would chase me after I leave. This cannot happen to customers!!! I visited this place a couple of times and I always have the same horrible and terrifying experience.

Don't allow the older male clerk to rage bait you. Stay calm. This man needs correction, healing and deliverance. Pray that he finds those things and keep it moving.
