“Awesome sales. Helpful staff, very clean and... this is my favorite part the wing bar is delish always fresh my favorite is the general tso's chicken it's super yummy. But ya gotta get there. early because it runs out quickly. I revised my review because seriously Food Lion if you're going to have a sale don't jack the price up beforeand then call it a sale. And here's another thing, If you advertise something is on sale but my task writer receipts doesn't take laugh for a flat this day outsideIf you advertise something is on sale, but my receipt doesn't show the discounted price it really isn't a sale now is it? Do better Food Lion, you have way to much competition to be ripping off your customers. My advice check your receipt before you leave the store or shop somewhere else.”
“Always able to just pull up, whip out my phone, use my Kroger app, get gas using my points for money off per gallon, finish up and pull away. The air for tires should be free but it’s not. I go across the street to sheetz for free air in my tires. Kroger listen up….dont charge for air!!”
“Usually the cheapest gas up and down 220. From Roanoke to Greensboro. When ordering hot dogs, always ask for the all beef wiener. There’s a huge difference and worth the extra charge, trust me!”
“This is the epitome of random gas station convenience store food. I had a double cheeseburger, it wasn't pretentious but it was exactly what I wanted after a hard day of work. Great price too! Skip that chain gas station food and come here!”
“Nice little store. No gas or deli but they have usual gas station store items. Small selection of groceries. Guy behind the counter was very friendly. Good little store for the area.”
“this kroger is a very reliable location. food good. ambiance nice. blah blah BLAH.. but there is one thing here to consider.. and it's your heart. kroger will make you feel emotions you have NEVER felt before. love . softness . yearning . and then SNAP. it will be taken away in an instant. I fell in love at this kroger. it was a man. a tall mysterious beautiful man. a WORKER for this establishment. he was so handsome I swooned instantly, he looked like if leonardo dicaprio and aphrodite had a SICK love child. I went to this kroger at every opportunity (which for granted, was not often.) just to see this man. we've made eye contact twice, but I was completely lovestruck for 2 months. last I saw him was January 24th. I miss you boo.. come home. ANYWAY. my heart was tugged in every possible direction. he just vanished out of existence. like I didn't EVEN. MATTER. and even though I am a loyal and committed woman I HAVE witnessed a multitude of handsome fellows AND ladies working here. all I'm saying is, any girl or guy could easily swoon over these employees. just saying prepare your heart AND soul before the love of your life is taken away. it happened to me.. it could happen to you.. it could happen to anyone.”
“Love the service I get every time I go into this store ! Absolutely clean and very satisfying for products I need ! Great good looking owner and always so kind and willing to help you find what you need!! Highly recommend you stop by for your needs and also good gas prices as well as compared to some other places !!”
“The absolute best hot dogs around. They are not just good but you can actually get French fries too and not just chips. Lastly, you always feel welcome and not like you’re bothering them like some similar places around. Can’t wait to go back and get another order for the whole family!”
“If you have ever shopped at a Dollar General then you know what to expect here. The prices are good and they try to have a little bit of everything. These stores are ideal for shopping when you don't feel like going to the bigger chain stores. They do have some clutter in the isles. This location is on 220 between Rocky Mount and Collinsville. Service was friendly and they had what I was looking for.”
“This is definitely an above average Dollar General. It is squeaky clean at least in terms of actual floor cleanliness. There is a fair bit of clutter with rolltainers decorating the aisles and the ends of aisles, but overall, it isn't bad. The staff here have been nice and friendly. Recommended!”
“WE MISS KROGER IN NC! We were meeting a friend in Greensboro for lunch and decided to drive the 90 minutes up to this location to get our Kroger fix. I don't know why we decided to patronize them since the reason they closed all the NC locations was to break the employee's union and many lost their pensions that they were so close to getting. Oh, well, crazy us!The store is typical Kroger all the way. We actually came here for one of their types of toilet tissue specifically that we found at one of their knock off stores that they have in the Midwest called Ruler Foods by Kroger. They're no frills like Aldi where merchandise is just left in their shipping boxes and placed on shelves. It's stuff that either the label has been updated (as we found to be the case with the ones at this Kroger in Rocky Mount) or maybe overstock items. Anyway, we stocked up on the TP that's better than what we'd been getting at Aldi.We did get a number of other items and grumbled all the way thru the place about how the shoppers and employees in NC got cheated by the company in one way or another. Beware people of VA, you may be next on the chopping block!”
“Staff is good people parking is great and the general price range that i usually end up spending for me can vary based upon my needs or wants? Come on down to DG...BABY!!!!!”
“i’m truly happy with this store , while most of the stores are out of stuff this store has everything and mostly packed, tonight i got really lucky i dropped my airpods without knowing it and i called up and Brandon told me to come on in and get them !! i love this store so much! thank you for everything’”
“This store really impresses me. Not only are the associates familiar with the layout of the store, they offer to take me to what I was looking for. Unfortunately, this isn't the case at my local Walmart.”
“I would like to mention a employee named Johnathan at this store. I shop here frequently and he has been so very helpful wether I was too short to reach something or if I had an annoying large deli order he was so friendly. I just want you guys to know.”
“Now that this Walmart is almost done being remodeled. I absolutely enjoy going there more often. It's definitely gotten so much better since they began remodeling everything and changing the look overall of the store. Every time I went to one of the nights at Walmarts and it was such a pleasure to shop there. I kept thinking I can't wait till they do that for hours and they finally did so it's looking great!!!”
The Cincinnati-based supermarket giant will open about 110 new stores in fast-growing markets by 2029 and introduce three updated store formats, executives told investors Oct. 20 at the company’s Investor Update in New York. Kroger already runs about 2,700 stores in 35 states. The formats come in three sizes, a bit like small, medium and large, matched to each market. Mary Ellen Adcock, Kroger’s executive vice president and chief merchant and marketing officer, walked through the lineup.
Walmart shoppers want a head start on the holidays, and money explains a lot of it. Some 44% of respondents call affording the holidays their top stressor, and 61% say holiday costs shape their shopping mood. Asked what would make the season easier, 70% picked lower prices and 57% picked more deals and promotions. Convenience ranks lower: 30% want one-stop shopping across categories, and 20% want faster delivery.
Walmart wants your groceries at the door before the ice cream softens. On May 29, the retailer said its 30-minute-or-less delivery had reached 33 U.S. markets, adding a wave of new cities across the Northeast. Shoppers in those areas can order from more than 100,000 items, everything from fresh produce and baby formula to pet food, electronics, cold medicine, and prescriptions. Behind the scenes, the service leans on Walmart's store network and an algorithm that factors in order size, available drivers, and distance from the store.
Trader Joe's keeps adding stores, and shoppers keep showing up. The California grocer has marked nine more locations as "opening soon," pushing its expansion into new corners of the country. The grocer also took first place in the American Customer Satisfaction Index's 2026 supermarket rankings. It has held a spot near the top of that list for years.
Target is rolling out its most ambitious store overhaul in more than ten years, with plans to remodel over 130 locations and open 30 new stores across the country this year. The retailer is also putting money into supply chain technology upgrades to keep pace with how shoppers buy today.
